The Provincial People's Council approved the plan to merge hamlets of Ky Son, Quy Hop and Tuong Duong districts.
(Baonghean.vn) - Ky Son, Quy Hop and Tuong Duong districts have merged for the first time. These are the last 3 districts out of 21 districts, cities and towns of Nghe An to have their hamlet merger plan approved.
On the morning of December 12, at the 12th session, the 17th Provincial People's Council approved the plan to merge and rename hamlets, blocks, and villages (hamlets) in communes, wards, and towns in the districts of Ky Son, Quy Hop, Tuong Duong, Dien Chau, Hung Nguyen, Nghia Dan and Thai Hoa town.

For the 3 districts of Ky Son, Quy Hop, and Tuong Duong, there are currently 633 hamlets, of which 4 hamlets reach 100% of the number of households, 208 hamlets from 50% to less than 100% of the number of households, and 421 hamlets below 50% of the number of households must be merged.
The total number of 3 merged districts is 158 hamlets; of which 15 hamlets have over 50% of the number of households and 143 hamlets have under 50% of the number of households.
The number of hamlets formed after the merger is 76, of which 3 hamlets reach 100% in terms of household size, 65 hamlets reach over 50% in terms of household size. The total number of hamlets after the merger of the 3 units is 551 hamlets; a decrease of 82 hamlets.

Specifically,Ky Son districtThere are currently 193 hamlets (villages); of which 1 hamlet has 100% of the household size, 40 hamlets have from 50% to less than 100% of the household size, and 152 hamlets have less than 50% of the household size and must merge.
Ky Son district is currently merged into 4 hamlets; in which there is no hamlet with more than 50% of the number of households and 4 hamlets with less than 50% of the number of households.

The number of hamlets formed after the merger is 2 hamlets; in which no hamlet reaches 100% of the household size, 1 hamlet reaches over 50% of the household size. The total number of hamlets that do not need to be merged is 1 hamlet. After the merger, there are 191 hamlets left in Ky Son district, a decrease of 2 hamlets.
Quy Hop DistrictThere are currently 286 hamlets; of which 1 hamlet has 100% of the household size, 109 hamlets have from 50% to less than 100% of the household size, and 176 hamlets have less than 50% of the household size and must merge.
Accordingly, Quy Hop will merge 138 hamlets; of which 12 hamlets have over 50% of the number of households and 126 hamlets have under 50% of the number of households. The number of hamlets formed after the merger is 66 hamlets; of which 3 hamlets have 100% of the number of households, 58 hamlets have over 50% of the number of households. The total number of hamlets that do not need to be merged is 1 hamlet. After the merger, there are 214 hamlets left in Quy Hop, a decrease of 72 hamlets.
Xiangyang DistrictThere are currently 154 hamlets, of which 2 hamlets have reached 100% of the household size, 59 hamlets have from 50% to less than 100% of the household size, and 93 hamlets have less than 50% of the household size.
Tuong Duong merged 16 hamlets, of which 3 hamlets had over 50% of the number of households and 13 hamlets had under 50% of the number of households. The number of hamlets formed after the merger was 8, of which no hamlet had 100% of the number of households, 6 hamlets had over 50% of the number of households. The total number of hamlets that did not need to be merged was 2 hamlets. After the merger, there were 146 hamlets left in Tuong Duong district, a decrease of 8 hamlets.

Also in this Resolution, the Provincial People's Council approved the plan to merge additional hamlets of districts and towns: Dien Chau and Thai Hoa town.
Accordingly, forDien Chau district, the total number of hamlets after implementing Resolution No. 08/NQ-HDND; Resolution No. 16/NQ-HDND is 292 hamlets; of which 182 hamlets reach 100% of the number of households, 106 hamlets from 50% to less than 100% of the number of households, 4 hamlets under 50% of the number of households must be merged.
In this resolution, Dien Chau was allowed to merge and add 10 hamlets with over 50% of the criteria for household size into 06 new hamlets with over 100% of the criteria for household size. Thus, the total number of hamlets in the district is 288, a decrease of 4 hamlets.
StillThai Hoa town,The total number of hamlets after implementing Resolution No. 08/NQ-HDND is 77 hamlets; of which 20 hamlets reach 100% of the number of households, 49 hamlets from 50% to less than 100% of the number of households, 8 hamlets under 50% of the number of households must be merged.
Thai Hoa will merge 11 additional hamlets; of which 3 hamlets have over 50% of the number of households and 8 hamlets have under 50% of the number of households, into 5 new hamlets; of which 2 hamlets have 100% of the number of households, 3 hamlets have over 50% of the number of households. The total number of hamlets in the town is 71, a decrease of 6 hamlets.
The Provincial People's Council also approved the plan to rename additional hamlets for Hung Nguyen district with 2 hamlets; Nghia Dan district with 1 hamlet; and Thai Hoa town with 4 hamlets.
