Support agricultural product consumption for farmers during social distancing
(Baonghean.vn) - These days, Thanh Chuong District Farmers' Association has coordinated with businesses, cooperatives, and volunteer clubs to organize the purchase of agricultural products for local people.
As one of many households in the district, Mr. Vo Van Ky's family in Lien Phong hamlet, Thanh Nho commune, Thanh Chuong district has 300 Hong Quang Tien grapefruit trees that are ready for harvest. Because of theimplementing Directive 16Because of the Prime Minister's order, his family could not sell grapefruit and traders could not come to buy it in the garden.
Thanks to the District Farmers' Association, the Commune Farmers' Association in coordination with Thanh Chuong Volunteer Club to purchase, his family is very excited. Mr. Ky said: "Implementing Directive 16, when goods are ready for harvest, all levels and sectors are interested in purchasing them for us. We are very happy and no longer afraid of unsold or damaged goods."

When implementing Directive 16, markets in Thanh Chuong town in particular and in Thanh Chuong district in general are banned from operating, so people's need for food is very large.
Therefore, Thanh Chuong Volunteer Club has established an online market to meet the consumption needs of the people, as well as to consume agricultural products for farmers in the context that the whole country is focusing on the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic with the main products being vegetables, tubers and fruits. Thanks to that, there is no shortage of goods in the district and farmers do not have a backlog of agricultural products.

Currently, the District Farmers' Association has called on and mobilized organizations, businesses, and cooperatives to purchase agricultural products for the people. In the past two days, the District Farmers' Association has coordinated to purchase 2 tons of chicken, 1 ton of black canarium, 2,500 grapefruits, 1.5 tons of pumpkins, and many other products for farmers in the district.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Khanh - Chairman of Thanh Chuong District Farmers' Association shared:In the coming time, the District Farmers' Association will continue to direct the Farmers' Associations of communes in the area to review the products of farmers who are ready for harvest but have not been sold yet and report to the District Farmers' Association to coordinate in purchasing for farmers, to help them effectively prevent and control Covid-19.
