Drug addicts vote in elections, exercising their civil rights
(Baonghean.vn) - Joining the atmosphere of voters in the province, on the morning of May 23, voters who are students at Compulsory Drug Rehabilitation Center No. III of Nghe An province participated in the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term.

According to the records, most of the students were very happy and excited because although they were isolated from the outside society to rehabilitate their drug addiction, they still had the right to vote and exercise their civil rights. According to the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies, those who are serving compulsory education measures or compulsory drug rehabilitation facilities are registered on the voter list to vote for National Assembly deputies and provincial People's Council deputies where they are undergoing drug rehabilitation. Therefore, students at Compulsory Drug Rehabilitation Facility No. III in Nghe An province only vote for two levels: National Assembly deputies and provincial People's Council deputies.
