Electing 4 additional members of the City People's Committee

At the meeting, on the basis of the Report of the Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee,City People's Councilconducted additional elections and voted to pass the Resolution on confirming the results of the election to supplement the position of Member of Vinh City People's Committee, term 2016 - 2021 for 4 men and women.

Including: Ms. Ngo Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Organization Committee of the City Party Committee and Head of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Vinh City People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Hoang Minh - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee and Chief Inspector of the City; Mr. Ha Thai Son - Member of the Executive Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Economic Department of the City People's Committee; Ms. Le Thi Thuy - Head of the Department of Justice of the City People's Committee.

Previously, the City People's Council also dismissed and voted to pass a Resolution on confirming the dismissal of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, former Head of the Justice Department of Vinh City People's Committee, from the position of Member of the City People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term, who has now transferred to a new job.

Investment policy for 88 projects

At the meeting, Vinh City People's Council took time to evaluate the implementation of the plan.public investment2020 from the city budget and provincial budget; at the same time, give opinions on the 2021 public investment plan from the city budget.

According to the 2020 public investment plan, the city has a total of 218 projects under construction and newly started, with a total cost of 620 billion VND. In the first 9 months of 2020, 92 projects were completed; 71 projects were under construction on schedule; 17 projects were stuck with site clearance; 33 projects were not implemented and 5 projects withdrew capital due to failure to implement.

Resultpublic investment disbursementfrom the city budget in the first 9 months of the year reached 55%. Capital from the provincial budget alone disbursed reached 86.2%; however, there are currently 2 projects that have not been disbursed, including the key local flood prevention project in the city and the urban traffic project along the old railway in Trung Do ward.

Regarding the 2021 public investment plan from the city budget, at the meeting, the City People's Council decided to focus capital on implementing 6 key groups of projects and in order of priority, the projects and works:flood protection, schools, urban space expansion, urban beautification, ODA project response; economic development support.

In addition, there are technical infrastructure works including: roads, drainage ditches, environmental sanitation, traffic lights, lighting; social infrastructure including: office buildings, units, cultural houses.

From the investment perspective in 2021, selecting key and focal projects and works, at the meeting, the City People's Council also decided on investment policies for 88 specific projects and works.
