Nghe An Journalists Association received Certificate of Merit in patriotic emulation movement
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 29, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Journalists Association held the Patriotic Emulation Congress for the 2020-2025 period.
Attending and directing the Congress were comrade Vo Van Thuong - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, and leaders of central ministries, departments and branches.

The Congress was attended by nearly 200 delegates representing typical collectives and individuals in the patriotic emulation movement of the Vietnam Journalists Association in the period 2015 - 2020.
Comrade Ho Quang Loi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association presented a summary report, evaluating the emulation movement and commendation work of the Association in the past 5 years, outlining the directions and tasks of emulation and commendation work in the period of 2020 - 2025, with the goal of encouraging and motivating journalists nationwide to strive, compete, and contribute to the socio-economic development of the country and the development of the Vietnamese revolutionary press, and of the Journalists Association at all levels.
At the Congress, Nghe An Journalists Association was selected as one of five units nationwide to present a report. Comrade Tran Minh Ngoc - Deputy Director of the Provincial Radio and Television Station, Chairman of Nghe An Journalists Association presented a report titled "Promoting the role of reporters and resident representative offices in the area".

Recognizing the achievements of units and individuals over the past 5 years (2015-2020 period), the leaders of the Vietnam Journalists Association awarded Certificates of Merit to 22 groups and 17 individuals, including the groupNghe An Journalists Associationand personally comrade Tran Duy Ngoan - former Chairman of Nghe An Journalists Association.

On this occasion, delegates attending the Congress donated more than 47 million VND to support flood victims in the Central region.
