Technical workshop on planting and caring for citrus trees

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 1, Nghe An Agricultural Extension Center coordinated with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to conduct a training course on planting, caring for and preventing pests and diseases on citrus trees for orange growers and agricultural extension officers of Nghia Dan district and Thai Hoa town.

During the 2 days, students will be transferred and provided with the latest information on orange tree care techniques by Japanese experts such as: Pests and diseases, pruning, canopy shaping, soil preparation, identifying some insects on orange trees...

This is part of the “Japan Technical Cooperation Program for Agricultural Development in Nghe An Province”. The training course not only enhances the effectiveness of the agricultural extension system but also improves farming skills for farmers. It is known that the project will be widely deployed by the end of 2015.
