Party cell secretary contest - creative ways in Thai Hoa

(Baonghean) - Implementing Directive 03 on continuing to promote studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, Thai Hoa Town has had many creative ways to bring high efficiency. Typically, the Contest for Party Cell Secretaries to Study and Follow the Moral Example of Ho Chi Minh for all Party Cell Secretaries in the Town recently created a widespread influence and impression on local cadres and people.

This year's contest was launched as a continuation of the success of the contest for Party cell secretaries to study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, which was organized by Thai Hoa Town Party Committee and implemented in Dong Hieu commune in 2012. The contest attracted 165/169 Party cell secretaries to participate in 10/10 Party committees of wards and communes and selected 10 excellent Party cell secretaries to attend the final round of the town-level contest. Participating in the contest from the preliminary round to the final round at the town level, contestants had to go through 3 rounds: answering knowledge questions with content revolving around Ho Chi Minh's ideology and morality; giving a 10-minute presentation on the campaign to continue promoting the study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh; and finally, a talent contest with poems, songs, and stories about Uncle Ho.

Watching the contestants perform at the contest, we clearly felt that many contestants were truly dedicated, diligently researching and studying materials, selecting story content to build outlines, practicing presentation skills, and deeply connecting with themselves and local reality. Especially in the presentation round, contestants chose many presentation topics that ensured timeliness, closely linked to specific actions of the contestants and the Party cell such as: "Learning from Uncle Ho from the smallest actions" by comrade Ngo The Son, Secretary of the Party Cell of Tan Phu block, Hoa Hieu ward. In his presentation, comrade Ngo The Son pointed out: The implementation of studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh in Tan Phu block was carried out very seriously. Thereby, the movement contributed to the successful construction of the title "Cultural Village" for the block; Activities of "repaying gratitude" and "mutual love" were also carried out, creating great influence and achieving high efficiency such as the movement to build "rice savings jars" of the women's association, the "comradely love" fund of the war veterans association...

Or the performance of teacher Nguyen Thi Hong Canh, Secretary of the Party Cell of Quang Tien Secondary School, with an inspiring voice, the presentation with the theme: "Uncle Ho's thoughts on the cause of cultivating people" moved the judges and the audience in the auditorium that day. Not only did she perform excellently in the performances, teacher Nguyen Thi Hong Canh also "suggested" to the Organizing Committee of the contest some solutions to further promote the study and following of his moral example such as: grassroots party organizations need to continue to diversify the content of propaganda about Directive 03 through topics, contests to learn about the life and career of the moral example of Ho Chi Minh; party cells need to assign the task of studying the ideological content to be associated with each specific action of each individual; each cadre and party member must always cultivate and practice revolutionary ethics... and received enthusiastic approval from the Board of Judges.

The contest ended, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize to comrade Ngo The Son - Secretary of the Tan Phu block Party cell, Hoa Hieu ward Party Committee; the second prize to comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Canh - Secretary of the Quang Tien Secondary School Party cell, Quang Tien ward Party Committee, 2 third prizes to comrade Ho Quang Huy, Tay Hieu Party Committee and Ho Thi Thanh, Nghia Tien Party Committee, but perhaps its profound meaning did not stop within the framework of the contest, because the contest really created a useful playground for the party cell secretaries of all 10/10 wards and communes of Thai Hoa town. "Participating in the contest, I had the opportunity to systematize my knowledge about Uncle Ho and the Party. This is also an opportunity to practice the skills of eloquence and public speaking for secretaries. These skills are extremely necessary for those doing party work, especially at the grassroots level" - comrade Ngo The Son said. As for young party member Ho Quang Huy - who is currently working as the Party cell secretary of Hung Cong hamlet, Tay Hieu commune, he said: The experience gained from the campaign will help him become more mature and confident in organizing activities for the Party cell. In addition, he himself will have more work and concrete actions in studying Uncle Ho's morality and example.

The contest for Party cell secretaries to study and follow Ho Chi Minh's moral example has truly aroused good feelings and respect for the great Uncle Ho, further strengthening the belief in the Party and in the country's innovation cause in each cadre, Party member and people of Thai Hoa town.
