Teacher Tran Thi Hang - Principal of Chau Thang Primary School said: The school was deeply submerged in floodwaters, with the attention of departments and branches at all levels, and the support of all forces to overcome the storm and flood, the grounds were basically cleaned to ensure the students could return to class. However, there are still many affected items that cannot be fixed, including 10 TVs from 50 inches to 75 inches that have not been repaired; the clean water system is still not enough for sanitation in the school, hundreds of tables and chairs were rotten after being flooded and had to be replaced...

According to teacher Tran Thi Hang - Principal of Chau Thang Primary School, the extended break will disrupt learning and will not be able to keep up with the educational program compared to the whole district. Returning to school early at this time will also be difficult, but the school is determined to carry out learning in parallel and gradually overcome it.

During the flood on September 27, 7 schools in Quy Chau district were deeply submerged in water, causing heavy damage; some classrooms and functional buildings had collapsed ceilings and roofs blown off; 1,055 meters of fences collapsed; 189 cabinets containing equipment and supplies and 351 sets of equipment were damaged beyond repair; 2,380 sets of student and teacher desks and chairs were submerged in water; 2,563 sets of textbooks and learning materials were damaged; 106 sets of computers and other assets such as televisions, refrigerators, water pumps, electrical systems and electric fans... The estimated damage to school assets and equipment in Quy Chau district is 22 billion VND.

For Chau Thang Primary School, the estimated damage is over 4 billion VND. In recent days, although the school has received support from local authorities at all levels, philanthropists, businesses, and volunteer organizations to purchase all 314 sets of textbooks, some desks, chairs, and televisions, etc., it still needs the support of philanthropists so that the school can purchase equipment for teaching and learning.

The Department of Education and Training of Quy Chau district said: Currently, in the whole district, only Chau Thang Kindergarten has not yet arranged to welcome students back to school. The remaining teaching and learning activities in the flooded schools have returned to normal. Although some items of the deeply flooded schools have not been repaired, for now, textbooks for the damaged students are basically sufficient./.
