Coach Hua Hien Vinh: U20 Vietnam aims to participate in the U20 Asia finals

On the afternoon of September 20, in Hai Phong, a press conference before the U20 Asian qualifiers was held, attended by 5 head coaches of the U20 teams of Syria, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Guam and host Vietnam.

Speaking at the press conference, coach Hua Hien Vinh said that the teamU20 Vietnamwill give the audience good performances in the upcoming matches.

''On behalf of the host team, I would like to welcome the four teams that have come here to participate in the 2025 AFC U20 Championship qualifiers, and thank the AFC for choosing Hai Phong city to host Group A. Vietnam U20 is ready for the tournament. With home field advantage, we aim to give the audience good performances and try to win many points to participate in the 2025 AFC U20 Championship finals. Through this tournament, we also want to learn and gain more battle experience when competing with many teams in Asia" - coach Hua Hien Vinh emphasized.

Talking about the preparation of the host team Vietnam, Mr. Hua Hien Vinh shared: "Recently, we have prepared for the tournament, also had training in Japan and had 2 matches with U20 Russia. We have improved somewhat in terms of defense and counter-attacks. The players have understood the playing style of the teams in the tournament, aiming for the best results."

Meanwhile, the coaches of the four away teams: U20 Syria, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Guam also showed high determination when entering the matches in the U20 Asia qualifying round.

Syria national team coach:''First of all, I would like to thank Vietnam for hosting this tournament. We came here and brought 100% of our strength to perform at the tournament. The players are ready, hopefully U20 Syria will have good results.

We respect all teams. As you can see, Asian football is developing very quickly now, I think that all teams pay a lot of attention to building and developing their teams. A tournament will be shown through each match, we are ready for the challenges no matter who the opponent is.

Bangladesh U20 coach: "I would like to thank AFC for organizing this tournament for the teams to participate in, and I would also like to thank Vietnam for providing the best conditions for the teams. We only have 2 weeks to prepare for the 2025 AFC U20 qualifiers. The opponents in this group are all very strong, however, I still want Bangladesh to participate in the final round.

U20 Bhutan coach: "We are proud to represent Bhutan in the 2025 U20 Asian qualifiers. The whole team is very eager to compete with our opponents. It is true that Bhutan is a country with a high happiness index, however, I see that in Vietnam people are also very happy. Happiness is very important to people, and the same is true for football. However, in football, when playing on the field, concentration needs to be shown on fighting strength, as well as players need to be calm and intelligent. This is a very important factor."

Head coach of Guam U20 team:''I want to thank everyone for coming today. First, on behalf of U20 Guam, I would like to send my condolences to the Vietnamese people after the recent typhoon. Returning to the technical issue, we hope to show our best performance at the tournament. Everything has been carefully prepared, hopefully the whole team will show their full potential''.
