Hung Nguyen held a meeting to discuss forced land acquisition in VSIP Urban Area.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 9, the Hung Nguyen District Party Committee and People's Committee held a meeting to discuss solutions to prepare for forced land recovery for Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen, the last case that has not agreed to land recovery for compensation in VSIP Nghe An Industrial, Urban and Service Park. The meeting was also attended by representatives of departments, branches, and the Provincial People's Committee Office.

According to the meeting content, during the implementation of the VSIP Nghe An Industrial, Urban and Service Park Infrastructure Construction and Business Project, the People's Committee of Hung Nguyen district assigned the District Compensation and Site Clearance Council (HDBTGPMB) to measure, count, prepare compensation, support and resettlement plans for households affected by the project and submit them to the District People's Committee and the HDBTGPMB for approval according to regulations.
The Board of Land Acquisition and Site Clearance has paid compensation and handed over the site to the investor. Up to now, 9/10 households have received compensation and handed over the site, only 1 household, Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen, has not yet received compensation and handed over the site.
According to Mr. Ngo Phu Han - Chairman of Hung Nguyen District People's Committee, Ms. Huyen requested to be assigned an additional plot of land outside her compensated area, requesting compensation of 82.1m2.2The land is not under the family's right of use, requesting the district to arrange a teacher position for her (Ms. Huyen is currently a preschool teacher).

Hung Nguyen District, the People's Committee of Land Acquisition and Compensation has implemented many solutions on propaganda and mobilization for Ms. Huyen but ineffectively. To ensure the site clearance is on schedule, timely land handover according to the progress of the province and the project, ensuring the strictness of the law, the District People's Committee decided to forcibly recover land from Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen's household.
After this meeting, the Enforcement Board continued to lobby Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen. If Ms. Huyen did not accept, the District Land Acquisition and Compensation Board would carry out enforcement on May 14 and 15, 2018.
