Test results of the man from the social distancing area who came to Vinh city to visit his nephew

On the morning of June 3, the Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC) announced that it had just received test results from a man who came from a socially distanced area and had a high fever. The first result showed that this person was negative for Covid-19. However, medical staff will continue to closely monitor this case.
Previously, on the afternoon of June 2, Mr. TDV (56 years old), from his hometown in My Hao town (Hung Yen province), took a bus to visit his nephew in Cua Nam ward, Vinh city. He then had a high fever, took fever-reducing medicine but it did not go down. That same evening, he went to the health station to report.

Meanwhile, due to the emergence of many Covid-19 cases, My Hao town (Hung Yen province) implemented social distancing according to Directive 16 from May 10. On May 31, the town switched to social distancing according to Directive 15.
Realizing that the patient had epidemiological factors, that same night medical staff had to conduct contact tracing, disinfect, and quarantine the patient for treatment while taking samples for testing.
According to regulations of the Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control of Nghe An province, for cases returning from localities and areas implementing social distancing according to Directive 15, they will be quarantined at home or at their place of residence for 14 days from the date of leaving the social distancing area. They must make daily health declarations to local health officials. If there are signs of fever, cough, sore throat, difficulty breathing, fatigue, chills, loss of taste, they must immediately go to a medical facility for timely management instructions according to regulations.
