Inauguration of the community project to prevent natural disasters - Dien Hoang Commune Health Station (Dien Chau)

(Baonghean.vn) On November 25, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) coordinated with the Central Region Disaster Prevention Support Fund to organize the inauguration and handover ceremony of the community disaster prevention project - the Medical Station to the people of Dien Hoang commune, Dien Chau district.

The project has an investment of over 3 billion VND, of which VietinBank supported 2 billion VND. After 5 months of construction, it was on schedule, according to national standards with 2 floors and solid structure.

Dien Hoang is a purely agricultural commune, far from the district center, the people's lives are still difficult, and it is located in the flood center, so the locality is heavily affected every time a storm or flood passes. In the flood season of 2010, more than 200 households were cut off and isolated for 7 days and nights from other areas. Therefore, the "two-in-one" project: both a place for medical examination and treatment and a place to avoid storms to ensure safety for local people, has extremely practical meaning for the people of Dien Hoang. In addition, the Health Station will receive medical examination and treatment equipment sponsorship from the Ministry of Health.

The old medical station of Dien Hoang commune is degraded.

These are 2 of 5 projects with a total funding of 10 billion VND that VietinBank supported for the people of the Central region to build disaster prevention projects in 2011... It is known that in recent years, VietinBank has also actively participated in social security activities and poverty reduction programs in almost 63 provinces and cities across the country with a total support amount of over 1,500 billion VND (of which Nghe An received 8 billion VND).
