Survey on management and use of public assets after administrative merger in Quynh Luu
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 19, comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and the working delegation surveyed the management and use of public assets after merging administrative boundaries and public service units in Quynh Luu district.

The working delegation of the Provincial People's Council surveyed the actual use of cultural houses after the merger of administrative boundaries in Hamlet 1, Quynh My Commune and Block 11, Cau Giat Town; Quynh My Primary and Secondary School.
From 2019 to present, the total number of villages, blocks, and hamlets in Quynh Luu district after the merger is 339 villages, a reduction of 68 villages. The district has developed a project and implemented the merger of 14 public service units. There are 70 surplus houses and lands after the merger, including 67 village cultural houses, 3 service units including: Plant Cultivation and Plant Protection Station, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Station, District Population and Family Planning Center.

Quynh Luu District People's Committee has compiled and proposed a plan to arrange and handle assets after the merger and submitted it to the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Finance for approval for 135 villages and public service units, of which 48 cultural houses are proposed to be retained and used as a place for community activities for the people, 1 cultural house will change its purpose of use and 18 cultural houses will be auctioned, 2 public service units are proposed to be transferred to the District People's Committee.

After conducting a field survey and working with Quynh Luu district, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Nhu Khoi requested the district to continue directing and urging localities to actively complete documents on land arrangement and handling after the merger to synthesize and submit to superiors for approval according to regulations.
Regarding the difficulties of Quynh Luu and the proposals of voters and localities to continue to retain the old cultural house as a place for people's activities and meetings, the Provincial People's Council will consider, research, and at the same time include it in the content for the explanation session of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council scheduled to be held in May 2022 to find a solution./.
