Timely encouragement for reporters and journalists to work in difficult circumstances

In November 2022, press agencies strictly followed the propaganda direction of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the State management of the Department of Information and Communications.

In the field of current affairs and politics, press agencies reported on the visits and working activities of Party and State leaders in Nghe An; domestic and foreign affairs activities of provincial leaders; key contents of the regular meetings of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Provincial People's Committee; emphasized the positive results achieved in the past 11 months such as: rapid economic recovery, clear growth rate, high budget revenue, investment attraction, good results, assessment of the direction and management of socio-economic affairs of Party committees and authorities at all levels in management, creating favorable conditions for production and business, taking care of social security work, the efforts of enterprises, workers, civil servants and laborers.

The press agencies highlighted major activities such as: National Great Unity Day; Ceremony to honor the 250th birth anniversary and 200th death anniversary of Poet Ho Xuan Huong.

Some other issues that have been reported by press agencies, Fanpages and social networks, and are of public interest include: reflections on the management of gasoline and oil prices; reflections on the progress and violations of some projects; many conflicting opinions on the handling of bicycles carrying flowers on the sidewalk by Le Mao ward authorities; and the situation of forest rangers quitting their jobs.

At the meeting, representatives of press agencies reflected on many issues. Some opinions said that during the flash floods that occurred in Ky Son district, press agencies promptly intervened, demonstrating a pioneering role. Therefore, the authorities should pay attention and promptly encourage the team of reporters and journalists participating in the work in the harsh context.

Many prominent issues have attracted public attention, but the press's involvement has not been timely, and even tends to subside. Therefore, regarding investigative stories and reports, it is recommended that press agencies pursue them to the end, in order to bring about practical results and create changes. In addition, there needs to be timely support and direction from all levels and sectors.

In addition, opinions also suggest timely information on social networks surrounding the adjustment of the planning of the Eternal Ecological Cemetery in Hung Nguyen district; whether or not there is an over-collection of additional fuel fees...

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Head of the Propaganda Department Pham Ngoc Canh requested press agencies to step up propaganda and exploit articles on the results of socio-economic development in 2022, especially the recovery program and promoting investment attraction, striving to complete the disbursement of public investment capital according to signed commitments; emphasizing the effectiveness of 10 groups of tasks and key solutions of the province.

In preparation for the 2023 Traditional New Year, the Propaganda Department requested that press agencies publish articles to highlight difficult circumstances so that vulnerable people in society can receive timely support and attention.

In addition, special attention is paid to promoting news routes and articles promoting potentials and advantages; promoting cultural heritages, scenic spots of the province, culinary culture, and practical experiences to attract domestic and international tourists.
