Prosecution of the subject who attacked the forest ranger and sent him to the hospital
(Baonghean.vn) - Quy Chau District Police have prosecuted and temporarily detained Nguyen Quang Tuan (residing in Chau Phong Commune, Quy Chau District) for 4 months to continue clarifying the act of Resisting a person on official duty.
Quy Chau district police also summoned two other subjects related to the incident.

Previously, on the morning of July 25, after receiving information that a subject was using a truck to transport wood from the forest, Dien Lam Forest Protection Management Station (under the Forest Protection Department of Pu Huong Nature Reserve) conducted an inspection.
Discovering a suspicious car in the Nat Duoi village area, Chau Hoan commune (Quy Chau), the working group asked the driver to stop the car for inspection. The driver did not comply with the order but sped away, and the working group immediately used motorbikes to chase after him.
When they caught up, the task force was persuading and encouraging the subjects to cooperate for the administrative inspection when suddenly the driver and his accomplices attacked, injuring two forest rangers, Nguyen Chi Viet and Tran Duc Long. Afterwards, these subjects abandoned the vehicle and left the scene.
Forest ranger Nguyen Chi Viet was seriously injured and transferred to Nghe An General Hospital for treatment.

In the afternoon of the same day, Nguyen Quang Tuan went to the police station to confess his crime.
It is known that the suspect's vehicle was carrying 0.715 cubic meters of Po Mu wood. The case is currently being further investigated by the Quy Chau District Police.
