Robber and girlfriend prosecuted in bank robbery shooting in Hai Phong

Previously, at 3:00 p.m. on January 7, Nguyen Van Nam went to the Vietcombank transaction counter on Dinh Vu Street (Dong Hai 2 Ward, Hai An, Hai Phong) and pulled out a gun to threaten the bank staff, demanding money.
At the police station, Nam confessed that while controlling the bank employees, he used explosives to intimidate them.
After robbing more than 3 billion VND, Nam went out of the bank and tried to control a car driver but failed. Then, Nam threatened the bank guard with a gun, took the motorbike key and fled towards Tan Vu overpass.
Running to Tan Vu - Lach Huyen overpass, he left his motorbike and hired a taxi to take him home. Nam buried some money at the base of a tree in the house, then gave his girlfriend, Tran Thi Thu Thuy (22 years old, from Hai Phong), some money, telling her "I'm going away for a few days". After that, he moved to Vinh Phuc to rent a room.

On January 8, Nam went to Hanoi to buy a large-displacement motorbike with a listed price of more than 700 million VND and then moved to Thai Nguyen.
At 11pm on January 8, at Bac Son motel (Bac Son ward, Pho Yen town, Thai Nguyen province), the police force arrested Nguyen Van Nam. Searching the suspect's person and residence, the police force seized 2 guns, 40 bullets, 1 motorbike, 1 phone and 1.2 billion VND (800 million VND when searching the motel and 400 million VND buried in the backyard).
