Dramatic VTV Cup International Cycling Race Stage 3 through Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 4, the VTV Cup International Cycling Tournament entered stage 3 with a route from Thanh Hoa City to Vinh City (Nghe An) with a length of 154 km. The first cyclist to cross the finish line was the Filipino cyclist - Jan Paul Morales.

With the message “Spreading the Wheel”, the VTV Cup International Cycling Race has a cross-Vietnam route including 14 stages with a total route of more than 1,800km, passing through the following localities: Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Quang Binh, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Nam, Binh Dinh, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Binh Phuoc, Ho Chi Minh City…
The tournament opens on September 2 in Hanoi and the final gala will take place on September 16 in Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of 12 strong racing teams with more than 80 racers.

After 2 days of competition, on the morning of September 4, more than 80 cyclists entered stage 3 with a route from Thanh Hoa City to Vinh City (Nghe An) with a length of 154 km.
At the end of the stage, the first person to cross the finish line was cyclist Jan Paul Morales (Philippine Navy) with a time of 3 hours 34 minutes 37 seconds; the next to finish were cyclists David van Eerd (Global Cycling Team), Jiung Jang (Korail Cycle Team), Purnomo Setiawan (PGN-Indonesia) and Nguyen Dac Thoi (Hanoi).

In the race for individual titles, with his 2nd place finish in stage 3, David van Eerd (Global Cycling Team) not only continued to hold the green jersey but also overtook his Dutch compatriot Van der Pijl (Nex NCT-Laos) to take the yellow jersey. Young cyclist Nguyen Dac Thoi (Hanoi) took the white jersey.

Tomorrow (September 5), the race will continue with stage 4 with the route from Vinh City to Dong Hoi City (Quang Binh) with a length of 197km.
