Check and fine illegal fishing vessels 10 million VND
(Baonghean.vn) - Implementing the 2021 IUU fishing inspection plan of the Provincial People's Committee and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the interdisciplinary delegation of Nghe An province conducted inspections of coastal fishing activities.
The delegation was led by a representative from the Nghe An Fisheries Sub-Department. Also participating in the delegation were the provincial fisheries control force, representatives of the Border Guard Station and the People's Committee of Dien Chau District and Cua Lo Town.

On the first day (March 18), the delegation monitored and inspected coastal fishing activities from the south of Cua Lo Port to the outside of Mat Island and the northern sea area of Nghi Xuan district (Ha Tinh).
After the first day of deployment, the forceNghe An Fisheries Controlapproached 8 coastal fishing vessels to inspect and propagate, reminding the ship owners to equip life-saving equipment and personal documents for crew members according to regulations.

Through direct inspection, the delegation has established a profile.administrative penalty10 million VND for Mr. Nguyen Dung Hiep - owner of fishing boat NA-90450-TS, address in An Hoa commune (Quynh Luu).
Although it is a 4-pole fishing boat, the owner did not fully record the fishing trip log and did not have a license plate on the boat according to regulations.anti-illegal fishingIUU.

Mr. Tran Chau Thanh - Head of Inspection and Legal Department (Nghe An Fisheries Sub-Department) said: The main purpose of the inspection team is to propagate and remind. However, the situation of exploitation and fishing in coastal areas is still potentially complicated and the EU organization also recommends and requires ensuring food hygiene and safety on fishing vessels, when fishing, full logs must be recorded, so regular inspections are required. In fact, fishing without documents, procedures or fishing without full itinerary recording are the limitations of Nghe An fishermen. The inspection is expected to last from March 18 to 24./.
