Affirming position on the province's tourist map

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Tran Ngoc Tu - Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee said: The plan for tourism development in Nghe An until 2020 identifies Vinh city, Cua Lo town and Nam Dan district as key tourism areas, in which Vinh city is the tourism center of the province and the North Central region. The action program of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee has set a goal of striving to make Nghe An one of the tourism centers of the North Central region and an attractive destination of the whole country by 2030.

In particular, forming products with Nghe An tourism brand: Kim Lien National Special Relic Site (Nam Dan), Cua Lo coastal urban tourism area and Vinh city tourism service center. Currently, the number of visitors and tourism revenue of the 3 localities accounts for over 90%, the number of travel agencies accounts for over 84% of the whole province. The localities have promoted their tourism potential and advantages, gradually affirming their position on the province's tourism development map.

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the habits, needs and tastes of tourists, leading to changes in tourism business methods. Currently, destinations in Nghe An have quickly caught up, diversified tourism products, and increased connectivity to meet demand. This requires Vinh city, Cua Lo town and Nam Dan district to promote connectivity and cooperation to restore and promote tourism development in each locality, thereby creating momentum and spreading power for localities in the province.

Develop new products to "attract customers"

Conference on Linkage and Cooperationtourism development“Three localities, one journey, many experiences” was organized to evaluate the cooperation process of the three localities in the past time. At the same time, they approved the directions and tasks of linking and cooperating in tourism development between the three localities in specific stages.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Dinh Long highly appreciated the initiatives of Vinh city, Cua Lo town and Nam Dan district in restoring connectivity and cooperation in tourism development. The Department of Tourism needs to direct the three localities in organizing implementation, building destinations, tours, routes; developing new products to attract tourists. Localities need to clearly define the role of the government and people in tourism development; create conditions for businesses and people.businesstourism. On this occasion, the three localities agreed to sign an Agreement on cooperation in tourism development for the 2022-2025 period.
