Clarifying illegal pine logging in protective forest areas in Hung Nguyen
(Baonghean.vn) - Taking advantage of the prolonged Covid-19 epidemic, 3 subjects entered the protected forest area to illegally exploit pine wood and then transported it to sell to a number of companies in the area.
Recently, Hung Nguyen District Police received reports from people about illegal activities.illegal loggingin the Ba Den mountain protective forest area in the territory of 02 communes Hung Tay and Hung Yen Nam (Hung Nguyen district), causing outrage among the people.
Immediately after receiving the information, the District Police urgently deployed forces to the area to verify and investigate. On March 4, 2022, the Police force identified 3 related subjects. They are: Cao Van Dien (born in 1989), Nguyen Van Than (born in 1980) and Nguyen Van Khoa (born in 1989), all residing in Hung Tay commune, Hung Nguyen district.

At the police station, through the struggle, the subjects confessed to violating regulations on forest exploitation and protection and forest products. Accordingly, in the past 2 months, the subjects exploited 188 pine trees with a wood volume of 19.75m3 on a forest area of 2,900m2 in the Da Den mountain protective forest area. Through searching the subjects' residence, the district police seized 847 logs and 01 chainsaw.

Currently, Hung Nguyen District Police have issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute the accused for violating regulations on forest exploitation and protection to continue investigating, clarifying and strictly handling the subjects according to regulations.
