6th grade boy died after being swept into a sewer while bathing in the river
(Baonghean.vn) - At around 5:30 p.m. on April 28, a tragic drowning incident occurred on Khuon River flowing through Binh Tho village, Thai Son commune - Do Luong.
The male student who drowned was Nguyen Van Nh. (born 2009), a 6th grade student at Kim Dong Secondary School, Minh Son Commune, Do Luong.
Before that, Nguyen Van Nh. and 3 other students went out together.bathing in the riverThe section flows through Binh Tho village, Thai Son commune (bordering Minh Son commune).
According to the children's story: Of the four children bathing, two were wearing life jackets and Nguyen Van Nh. was not wearing a life jacket. At the time Nh. drowned, Nh. and one of his friends were bathing in the river, the other two were standing on the shore. Both of them in the water suddenly started to struggle, one of the children on the shore quickly grabbed a tree branch for the other child to hold on to and pulled him to shore, while Nh. was swept away by the water into the sewer and died.
Upon receiving the news, Minh Son Commune Police and Nh.'s family dived to find Nh.'s body and handed it over to the family.
