(Baonghean.vn) - Prolonged hot weather, little water from upstream, Lam River section flowing through Thanh Chuong and Con Cuong districts is dry, affecting daily life and agricultural production.

The prolonged heat has reduced the amount of water flowing from the source, and the water level of the Lam River in some places has dropped very low. The section flowing through Thanh Chuong district has an alarmingly low water level, with many sandbanks appearing in the middle of the river. Mr. Thai Dang Phuong - Deputy Director of Thanh Chuong Irrigation Company Limited shared: I have been working in the locality for more than 15 years, and have never seen the Lam River dry to the point of "dead" water like this; to the point that many irrigation pumping stations in Thanh Chuong district, despite having reinforced, connected pipes, and dredged the river, still cannot pump water.
