State Bank of Vietnam, Nghe An Branch, presented over 800 Tet gifts to poor households
(Baonghean.vn) - Responding to the appeal letter of the Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh on caring for the poor on the occasion of the Lunar New Year, on January 21, a working delegation of the Banking sector led by Mr. Cao Van Hoi - Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Nghe An Branch, went to districts to give Tet gifts to poor households.

The delegation presented 275 Tet gifts worth 137.5 million VND to poor households; of which, Van Loi commune - a remote commune in Quy Hop district was awarded 50 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND in cash and some items such as warm blankets and uniforms for poor students.
In Dien Chau district, the delegation presented 225 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, of which 105 were given to Dien Hoa commune and 120 to Dien Hanh commune. In addition to gifts from the banking sector, the People's Credit Funds in Dien Hoa commune also gave 10 gifts to poor households for Tet.

Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony, Mr. Cao Van Hoi - Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Nghe An branch, said: This time, the banking sector mobilized more than 6 billion VND, of which 850 gifts worth over 230 million VND were given to poor households in the province for Tet.
The source of funds for Tet gifts for the poor is donated by the collective of officials and civil servants of the State Bank and commercial banks, to support and share difficulties with the poor on the occasion of Tet and Spring.
On behalf of the people, representatives of the People's Committee of Quy Hop and Dien Chau districts sincerely thank the working delegation for their attention and support for the local poor; hope that the banking sector will continue to operate effectively to participate more actively in social charity activities.

It is expected that tomorrow (January 22), the working delegation of the State Bank of Vietnam, Nghe An branch, will continue to give 552 Tet gifts to 552 poor households in 4 communes of Tuong Duong district: Yen Hoa, Yen Thang, Nga My and Xieng My.
