On the second day of the exam, more than 70% of Nghe An candidates chose the Social Science subject combination exam.
This morning (June 28), candidates will enter the final exam day with the combined exam and the foreign language exam. This is also the exam day with a fairly fluctuating number of candidates, with more than 70% of candidates registering to take the Social Science combined exam.
Previously, according to the regulations of the High School Graduation Exam, in addition to the three compulsory subjects of Math - Literature and Foreign Language, candidates will choose a combined exam as the fourth exam subject. Candidates can choose a combined exam of Social Sciences (History - Geography - Civic Education) or a combined exam of Natural Sciences (Physics - Chemistry - Biology).

According to statistics from the Nghe An Department of Education and Training, with the combined exam, there were about more than 26,000 Nghe An candidates registering for the Social Science subject combination (accounting for more than 73%); meanwhile, there were only more than 9,000 candidates registering for the Natural Science subject combination exam (accounting for more than 36%).
In the registered list, there are quite a few exam sites, the number of Social Science exam papers is the majority. Anh Son 3 High School has 281 candidates registered for the exam but only 42 candidates registered for the Natural Science subject group; Co Do High School's exam score is 75/361 candidates; Cua Lo High School is 115/405 candidates; Dien Chau 5 High School is 91/625 candidates; Le Hong Phong High School is 58/448 candidates; Le Viet Thuat High School is 262/1008 candidates; Que Phong High School is 30/589 candidates; Tuong Duong 1 High School is 9/331 candidates...
Even in schools with a tradition of natural science exams such as Huynh Thuc Khang High School, Ha Huy Tap High School, Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted, and Vinh University High School for the Gifted, this rate only accounts for 30 - 50%.

2024 is the last year that the High School Graduation Exam will have a combined exam. According to the high school graduation exam project from 2025, there will only be independent exams.
In the combined exam, the component subjects must have the same test code. When receiving the test for each component subject, candidates must check the test code. If the test code does not match, they must immediately notify the invigilator within 5 minutes from the time the test is distributed to receive the appropriate test code.
During the combined exam, candidates are not allowed to write down content or leave any signs related to the exam on any papers, documents, or other items other than scratch paper (signed by the exam supervisor).

During the break between two component exams of the combined exam, candidates who have taken the previous component exam, if they have a reasonable need, will be considered and allowed by the exam invigilator to leave the exam room.
Before leaving the examination room, the candidate must place the multiple-choice answer sheet with the filled-in answer sheet facing down on the table at the candidate's seat; the second invigilator is responsible for monitoring to ensure that no other candidates interfere with or take advantage of the candidate's answer sheet; the candidate must be under the supervision and must comply with the instructions of the invigilator when outside the examination room.

It is expected that in the combined exam, there will be independent candidates who will only take 1 or 2 components of this exam. Therefore, all exam sites have arranged spare exam rooms and waiting rooms for candidates before the next exams. During the time in the waiting room, candidates will be strictly monitored as in the exam room and if they violate the rules, they will be suspended from the exam.
