Nghe An promptly pays more than 112.6 billion VND for forest environmental services
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of July 31, Nghe An Forest Protection and Development Fund held a summary of forest environmental service payments and deployed tasks in the coming time.
Attending were representatives of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Forestry Department, forest owners, reforestation projects and related units.

In recent times, the Nghe An Forest Protection and Development Fund has done a good job of expanding revenue sources for forest environmental services (from hydropower production facilities, clean water production, industrial production...) to promptly meet the payment for forest environmental services. As a result, more than 112.6 billion VND has been paid to forest owners and forest protection activities... Along with that, the Fund has spent nearly 7.7 billion VND to carry out planting and care for replacement forests.

To effectively implement the payment for forest environmental services, Nghe An Forest Protection and Development Fund has coordinated with the Provincial Post Office, Viettel Nghe An, and the Bank to make payments through bank accounts, the Post Office system, and electronic payment transactions.

Currently, in the province, there are more than 412,914 hectares of forest paid for forest environmental services, in the national park more than 30,000 hectares of forest, the management board of the nature reserve nearly 77,000 hectares, in the management board of the protective forest more than 104,578 hectares, the forestry company more than 8,716 hectares...

Up to now, Nghe An has carried out more than 4,399 hectares of replacement forestation, including replacement forestation, special-use forestation, production forestation, scattered tree planting and model forestation by 44 projects in the area.
