Nghe An spends more than 2.7 billion VND to reward teachers and students who achieved achievements in regional, international and national competitions.

The Provincial People's Committee has just issued Decision 2005/QD-UBND dated August 7, 2024 on rewarding students and teachers with achievements in training students to win high prizes at regional and international Olympic competitions in 2024.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 6 students and 6 teachers who had achieved high results in training students at regional and international Olympic competitions. In addition, cash prizes were awarded to 6 students who had achieved high results and 8 teachers who had achieved training results. The total amount of rewards for teachers and students was 763 million VND.

Specifically, the highest reward is 93.6 million VND (40 times the base salary, according to the new salary level) for Phan Quang Triet (Silver Medalist of the European Physics Olympiad). In addition, teacher Le Xuan Bao - the training teacher also received an equivalent reward.

The Provincial People's Committee also awarded 72 million VND to Nguyen Ngo Duc - Silver Medalist of Mendeleev International Chemistry Olympiad (40 times the basic salary according to the old salary coefficient). Similarly, 2 training teachers Phan Thi Thieu Hoa and Le Van Tu were also awarded 72 million VND.

The remaining students: Le Xuan Anh Quan (Bronze Medal of Mendeleev International Chemistry Olympiad), Nguyen Da Thao, Tran Thai Khang (Bronze Medal of International Biology Olympiad), Nguyen The Quan (Bronze Medal of Asian Physics Olympiad) were awarded 54 million VND (30 times the base salary) and teachers Le Thi Lan, Phung Ngoc Thanh (Chemistry), Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha (Biology), Le Xuan Bao (Physics) were also awarded with the same amount.

Previously, the Provincial People's Committee also issued Decision 1100/QD-UBND dated May 6, 2024 to reward (including Certificates of Merit and bonuses) 90 students who won prizes at the national excellent student selection exam and 38 teachers with achievements in training work. The total amount of rewards for teachers and students is more than 1.9 billion VND.

Accordingly, 8 students who won First Prize and the training teachers were awarded Certificates of Merit and a reward of 18 million VND/1 student/1 teacher (10 times the basic salary).

For 39 students winning second prize, the reward is 12.6 million VND/1 student/1 teacher (7 times the basic salary).

For 32 students who won third prizes and the teachers who trained them, the reward is 9 million VND. For 11 students who won encouragement prizes, the reward is 5.4 million VND (3 times the basic salary).

Thus, in this school year, the total amount of money awarded by the Provincial People's Committee to students and teachers who won national prizes is more than 1.9 billion VND. In addition to students, teachers who directly trained were awarded nearly 200 million VND.
