Nghe An: Commune Chairman suspended from work for allowing quarantined people to freely contact their family members
(Baonghean.vn) - Another Chairman of the People's Committee of a commune in Nghe An was suspended from work for being irresponsible in epidemic prevention work.
On August 7, Mr. Nguyen Tran Chuong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Long Son Commune (Anh Son), said he was handing over his work to his deputy, after receiving the decision to suspend his work.
Accordingly, a day before, Mr. Hoang Quyen - Chairman of the People's Committee of Anh Son district signed a decision to temporarily suspend Mr. Chuong from work for 15 days for his lack of responsibility in directing the prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic. "This is a lesson, we would like to learn from it," said Mr. Chuong.
Previously, on the morning of August 4, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Anh Son district suddenly inspected a number of centralized quarantine points for people returning from epidemic areas without prior notice to the commune-level authorities.

At a quarantine site in Long Son commune, district leaders discovered many violations such as no one on duty to supervise. In the quarantine area, citizens in quarantine were free to move around, interact with each other and did not wear masks. Notably, citizens in quarantine also had contact with family members at the school gate without wearing masks.
Also in Nghe An, on July 29, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Luu district signed a decision to temporarily suspend Mr. Ho Ngoc Truong - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quynh Lam commune. Mr. Truong was disciplined for allowing an F1 case to visit his wife and children even though this person was under centralized quarantine. A day later, the test results showed that this F1 was positive for Covid-19.
