Nghe An won first prize in the photo contest 'Challenge for change'
(Baonghean.vn) - First Prize went to an author in Nghe An with the work "Thien Tam Quy Hop Volunteer Group builds a charity house for a mother and four orphaned children".
On the morning of October 7, at Tu Lien Secondary School, Tay Ho District (Hanoi), the Central Electronic Information Portal of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union in collaboration with the Central Youth Union's Rural Youth Committee and the Center for Natural Resources and Environment Communication (under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment) held the Closing Ceremony and Awarding Ceremony of the Photo Contest "Challenge for Change" 2019.
The contest took place from March 18 to September 3, 2019 to strongly spread the message of young people challenging themselves in volunteer activities, aiming to raise community awareness to join hands in volunteer activities.

During the 5 months, the Organizing Committee received 434 works with 868 rich photos in many fields of mural painting; Building and repairing charity houses; Building bridges and repairing roads; Painting and repairing schools and making playgrounds for children; Propagating changes in daily habits, preventing and combating plastic waste, protecting the environment, responding to climate change... sent from provincial, municipal unions, affiliated unions, college and university students; high school students; businesses and administrative agencies nationwide, attracting 5.9 million views; more than 1 million interactions on Facebook.

At the award ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded the First Prize to the work “Quy Hop Thien Tam Volunteer Group builds a charity house for 4 orphaned mothers and children” by author Phan Thi Giang (Quy Hop - Nghe An). In addition, there were 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes (including the work of Thanh Thinh Commune Group (Thanh Chuong, Nghe An) and 4 Encouragement Prizes.
The Organizing Committee also awarded 3 prizes for the works with the highest number of votes during the contest; 1 creative prize; 1 movement prize for the unit with the most entries and 1 "Inspirational Person" prize for the favorite author during the contest.
