Nghe An gives comments on 5 Law Projects drafted by the Ministry of Public Security to be submitted to the 15th National Assembly

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 11, Nghe An Provincial Police coordinated with the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to organize a workshop to provide comments on 5 draft laws drafted by the Ministry of Public Security to be submitted to the 15th National Assembly.

5 draft laws, including: Law on Forces participating in protecting security and order at the grassroots level;Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on People's Public Security; Law on Identification; Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Exit and Entry of Vietnamese Citizens and the Law on Entry, Exit, Transit and Residence of Foreigners in Vietnam.

The workshop was co-chaired by Major General Tran Duc Thuan - Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee for National Defense and Security. On the Nghe An province side, there were comrades Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Major General Pham The Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department; Thai Thi An Chung - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

Also attending were leaders of departments, branches, sectors, unions, socio-political organizations, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; representatives of the People's Committees of some districts, cities, towns and some communes, wards and towns; Heads of relevant departments and heads of police of districts, cities and towns in the province.

Speaking at the opening of the workshop, Major General Pham The Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department reported on the achievements in the work of building laws on security and order; emphasizing the significance and importance of the 5 draft laws drafted by the Ministry of Public Security to submit to the 15th National Assembly in general and the Workshop to contribute opinions on the 5 draft laws in particular.

The 10 opinions presented at the workshop basically agreed to recommend and propose that the National Assembly soon pass 5 draft laws; in which many profound and valuable opinions provided additional data and evidence, thereby providing additional practical bases for the need to soon pass the above 5 draft laws.

Speaking at the workshop, Major General Tran Duc Thuan - Standing Member of the National Assembly's National Defense and Security Committee; Comrade Le Hong Vinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee stated that the separation of laws aims to limit overlap, with the goal of building and promulgating specialized laws to regulate each field, meeting current practical requirements. Based on the synthesis of delegates' comments, especially from the practical basis of local work, the Provincial Police need to synthesize to report to the Ministry of Public Security, in order to complete the draft laws to ensure progress and quality for submission to the 15th National Assembly for approval as planned.

In his concluding remarks at the closing ceremony of the workshop, Major General Pham The Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department thanked the delegates for their enthusiastic and responsible comments; based on the comments, he continued to emphasize the political, legal and practical bases in the process of drafting and submitting 5 draft laws chaired by the Ministry of Public Security. He directly assigned the functional units to collect comments at the workshop to report and propose to the Ministry of Public Security.

At the same time, the Provincial Police Director hopes that in the coming time, the Party Committees, authorities at all levels and people of all walks of life will continue to pay attention to leading, directing, accompanying and assisting the police force in ensuring security and order, serving the cause of local socio-economic development and building a clean, strong, disciplined, elite and modern Nghe An police force.
