Nghe An: More than 150 students are trained in tourism skills

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 14, Nghe An Department of Tourism organized the opening ceremony of a training course on professional skills in accommodation establishments and other service businesses in the province in 2023.

Attending the opening ceremony were leaders of the Department of Tourism, the Provincial Tourism Association and more than 150 students from accommodation establishments and tourism business services in the province.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh An - Deputy Director of the Department of Tourism stated: With the joint efforts, close coordination, and active participation of all levels, sectors, localities and tourism businesses in the province, in 2022, Nghe An tourism industry has initially seen many improvements after two years of being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

However, after nearly a year of reopening tourism activities, we can clearly see that the workforce at accommodation establishments and other service businesses in the province is lacking in quantity and weak in quality. This has caused many difficulties for tourism service businesses as well as the entire tourism industry today.

To share and support service businessestourism, maintain and improve service quality, contribute to affirming "Nghe An - Safe, friendly, attractive destination" and achieve the goal of welcoming nearly 8 million tourists by 2023, the Department of Tourism organizes training courses to improve professional skills in accommodation establishments and other tourism service businesses.

The training course is aimed at employees working in housekeeping and front desk departments at accommodation establishments and other tourism service businesses in the province. Through the course,trainingto foster and improve professional knowledge and skills; guide vocational skills practice for workers working in the tourism industry.

The training course is scheduled to take place over 3 days, from March 14 to 16.
