Nghe An: Taking samples for testing of nearly 600 workers related to the cluster of cases in the factory

On the morning of January 8, Nghe An recorded 46 cases of Covid-19 infection, including 14 community cases, notably 5 community cases related to the cluster of cases at D.V Company Limited located in the area.Nam Dan town, Nam Dan district. Up to now, this company has recorded 23 F0, all F0 have been transferred to the facility for receiving and treating Covid-19 infected patients in Kim Lien commune.

Recognizing that this is a complex cluster of diseases, when the test results were available, the Steering Committee for Epidemic Prevention and Control of Nam Dan district directly worked with local authorities and the company to deploy epidemic suppression plans with high determination to soon control the outbreak and stabilize production and business.

Nam Dan District has directed the collection of samples for testing of all workers of the company, nearly 600 people, periodically after 3 days to deploy the next test to promptly separate infected cases from the production line, not to interrupt production.

Mr. Vuong Hong Thai - Vice ChairmanNam Dan District People's Committeesaid: "The number of infected workers of the company is spread across many communes, including some in Thanh Chuong district. Currently, for the production lines where F0 cases appear and are at high risk, we have directed to temporarily stop production to fight the epidemic. For other departments, we continue to operate normally and must strictly implement epidemic prevention measures. All workers have been vaccinated with 2 doses of Covid-19 vaccine, and the company's campus has also been disinfected in recent days...".

Tracing work has been vigorously implemented by the locality, and so far has identified more than 200 F1 cases of the patients, mainly family members of workers (workers go to work in the morning and return home in the evening, in close contact with family members).

Nam Dan district has directed communes to strengthen supervision and enhance the role of community Covid-19 teams to effectively implement home quarantine for F1 cases. Those who do not strictly implement epidemic prevention measures will be strictly handled according to regulations.

Since the beginning of the epidemic, the entire Nam Dan district has recorded 313 cases of Covid-19 infection. Currently, there are 4 localities implementing level 2 epidemic prevention and control measures including: Nam Thanh, Nam Xuan, Kim Lien and Nam Dan town.
