Nghe An: Highlights on June 12

*NJune 12th,Cua Lo Town Party Committeeheld the 6th official Congress of Delegates, term 2020 - 2025. This is the fourth grassroots Party Committee among the 4 units selected by the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee to organize a model congress.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term with 37 comrades. At the first working session, the Executive Committee of the Cua Lo Town Party Committee elected the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee with 11 comrades. Comrade Nguyen Thi Kim Chire-elected Secretary of Cua Lo Town Party Committee,term 2020 - 2025.

On the same day, the Party Committees of the communes:Quynh Nghia,Quynh Hung (Quynh Luu)and the Town Party CommitteeKim Son (Que Phong)successfully organize the Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

*TOn June 12, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had a working trip to Quy Chau district.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hasvisit some modelseconomic developmentin the district. At the meeting with the leaders of Quy Chau district, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the district needs to promote all available potentials and advantages, identifying tourism and agriculture as thepointin economic developmentin the near future.

*NOn June 12, the delegation of the Provincial People's Council organizedmeeting with voters of Hung Dong commune(Vinh City). At the meeting, many voters reflected that there are currently a series of important projects planned in the area but have remained "unmoved" for many years. In addition, problems related to compensation and site clearance for projects have not been properly implemented. This situation affects the lives and rights of the people.

On the same day, the working delegation of the Provincial People's Councilsurvey organizationat the Compulsory Drug Rehabilitation Center No. 1 in Nghe An and the Voluntary Drug Rehabilitation Center Phuc Son (Anh Son district) according to the program to monitor the organization and operation of drug rehabilitation centers in the province.

*SJune 12, in Vinh city,Vietnam Airlines held a ceremonyopening new flight routesconnecting Vinh with Phu Quoc, Can Tho, Nha Trang.

Accordingly, from June 12, 2020, Vietnam Airlines officially operates flights between Vinh and Phu Quoc with a frequency of 4 flights/week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday; departing from Vinh at 12:50 and from Phu Quoc at 15:50. Flights between Vinh and Can Tho, Nha Trang were put into operation from June 22, 2020 with a frequency of 3 flights/week on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.

*SOn the morning of June 12, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21), a delegation of Nghe An Newspaper officials led by comrade Pham Thi Hong Toan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Party Secretary, Editor-in-Chief of Nghe An Newspaper, along with officials and employees of the agency came tovisit and give gifts to former leaders and reportersNghe An Newspaper through the ages.

This is one of the annual activities of Nghe An Newspaper every year on the occasion of the anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, June 21, to express gratitude to generations of journalists through the ages who have contributed to the development of Nghe An Newspaper.

*SThe Department of Education and Training has just issued a document providing guidance onadmission to first grade classesfor grades 6 and 10. This year, schools enrolling in grades 6 or 10 can enroll students by selection or entrance exam based on the number of applications and assigned quotas.
