Nghe An: Highlights on October 21

*SOn October 21, according to the agenda of the 4th Session, on October 21, the National Assembly continued to discuss many important contents; including the election of the State Auditor General and the approval of the appointment of the Minister of Health and the Minister of Transport for the 2021-2026 term.

In the morning session,The Standing Committee of the National Assembly reports the results of the discussion.at the National Assembly Delegation on the dismissal of the State Auditor General; approve the dismissal of the Minister of Transport for the 2021-2026 term.

Next, the National Assembly Standing Committee explained and accepted the opinions of National Assembly deputies on the dismissal of the State Auditor General for the 2021-2026 term.

*On the afternoon of October 21, with 461 delegates present, the number of delegates in favor was 459 (accounting for 92.17%).The National Assembly elected comrade Ngo Van Tuan., Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy State Auditor General in charge of State Audit, holds the position of State Auditor General for the 2021 - 2026 term.

*On the same afternoon, after discussing in groups and listening to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's report and explanation, the delegates voted by secret ballot. The results of the vote count were just announced, showing thatThe National Assembly has approved the appointment of the Minister of Transport.with Mr. Nguyen Van Thang.

The resolution on approving the appointment of positions was also voted through by the National Assembly with 434/458 delegates present in favor (accounting for 87.15% of the total number of National Assembly delegates).

*On the afternoon of October 21, the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc organizedConference to announce the Politburo's decisionon the transfer and assignment of comrade Nguyen Van The, member of the Party Central Committee, to hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc for the 2020 - 2025 term.

*Morning of October 21,Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung- The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the provincial working delegation visited and inspected the progress of projects and production models in Dien Chau district.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also inspected the Housing and Commercial Service Project in Dien Thanh Commune and the Commercial and Comprehensive Urban Service Project in Dien Ky Commune; inspected production activities at the Viet Glory footwear factory in Dien Truong Commune. The project is invested by Mold Solution Inc. and started operating at the end of 2020.

That same afternoon,working with Dien Chau district, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung emphasized that the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee needs to discuss and orient to determine the economic structure towards taking industry - services and urban development as the main driving force for the rapid, comprehensive and sustainable development of the district.

*On the afternoon of October 21, the delegationwork of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural DevelopmentDeputy Minister Phung Duc Tien led the working delegation with the People's Committee of Nghe An province on the situation of agricultural production development; animal disease prevention and control; and implementation of the Project to strengthen the capacity of the veterinary management system at all levels, period 2021-2030.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien assessed that the scale and value of Nghe An agriculture is very large, contributing significantly to the growth of Vietnam's agricultural sector.

On that basis, Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien suggested that the province closely follow Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW, dated June 16, 2022, the 5th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee on agriculture, farmers, and rural areas to 2030, with a vision to 2045; The Strategy for Sustainable Agricultural and Rural Development for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 150/QD-TTg dated January 28, 2022.

*On the morning of October 21, the Legal Committee of the People's Council of Nghe An provincesupervise the implementation of state managementon organizational structure, staffing, and labor contracts at the Department of Home Affairs.

Discussing at the meeting, the opinions of the members of the monitoring delegation requested the Department of Home Affairs to clarify a number of contents related to the staffing of teachers; secondment of teachers; results of streamlining the staffing; and recruitment of civil servants and public employees.

Speaking at the meeting, comrade Nguyen Nam Dinh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the Provincial Department of Home Affairs to grasp, update and review the Central's regulations to promptly advise the province on water management work regarding organizational structure, payroll, and labor contracts in state administrative agencies and public service units in the province.

*At 4:00 p.m. on October 21, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense issued Official Dispatch No. 12/CD-VPTT to directfocus on responding to tropical depression, minimize damage.

According to the bulletin of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting: At 1:00 p.m. on October 21, the center of the tropical depression was at about 20.1 degrees North latitude; 123.0 degrees East longitude, about 230km North-Northeast of Luzon Island (Philippines). The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression was at level 6, gusting to level 8.

Forecast in the next 24 hours, the tropical depression will move westward, traveling 20km per hour, the strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression is level 6-7, gusting to level 9. Natural disaster risk level 3 in the East of the North East Sea area.
