In the 2024 socio-economic development plan, the Provincial People's Committee sets out 28 main economic, social and environmental targets and identifies 12 main groups of tasks and solutions.

The Provincial People's Committee determined that 2024 is the fourth year of implementing the 5-year socio-economic development plan for 2021-2025. 2024 is also a pivotal year, of special significance in successfully implementing the Resolutions of Party Congresses at all levels, including the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

* Nghe An strivespublic investment disbursementreaching 95.11% in 2023. It is expected that by the end of 2023, the total public investment capital of Nghe An province will be disbursed at 95.11% of the plan, of which concentrated public investment sources are estimated to reach 95.42%.

Director of the Department of Planning and Investment Pham Hong Quang said that as of November 20, 2023, the total public investment plan for 2023 of Nghe An province had disbursed VND 6,004,592 billion, reaching 66.47%. Of which, concentrated public investment capital disbursed VND 3,160,078 billion, reaching 56.59%.

The National Target Program has disbursed VND469,975 billion, reaching 39.8%. Of which, the National Target Program on New Rural Development has disbursed VND292,781 billion, reaching 85.06%; the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas has disbursed VND171,985 billion, reaching 27.21%; the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction has disbursed VND5.21 billion, reaching 2.55%.

According to research, this project has a total planned area of ​​750 hectares, the land acquisition area is in the communes of Hung Tay, Hung Dao, Hung Nguyen town of Hung Nguyen district and Hung Chinh commune of Vinh city. Up to now, the site clearance has been basically completed, however, there are still some households that have not received compensation, affecting the overall progress of the project and creating a bad image affecting investment attraction in the province.

* If in rural districts,destruction of pigs infected with African swine feverWhile it is quite convenient when there is a large land fund, in Vinh city, destroying sick pigs to ensure the environment, far from densely populated areas is not easy.

According to statistics from the Vinh City Agricultural Service Center, after only 2 months of the first outbreak, by November 25, the entire city had 8 localities with African swine fever, mainly concentrated in suburban communes including: Hung Chinh, Nghi An, Nghi Duc, Nghi Kim, Nghi Lien, Hung Hoa, Hung Loc and Dong Vinh ward. The number of pigs forced to be destroyed was 322, with a total weight of over 21 tons. Faced with the rapid spread of the epidemic, Vinh City has issued documents directing communes, wards, breeders, and business households to tighten epidemic prevention measures.
