Nghe An: Highlights on October 7
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 7, a number of events and information took place in the province that attracted public attention: The Provincial People's Committee handed over the Decision to appoint the Director of the Department of Finance; The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council announced the convening of the 9th session; Nghe An stopped the project of more than 16,000 billion VND of FLC Group; National Assembly delegates met with voters of Do Luong district; many households and schools in Nam Can commune suffered landslides due to floods; Khe Bo Hydropower Plant operated to discharge water from the reservoir.
*On the afternoon of October 7, the Department of Finance held a ceremony to announce the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee Chairman on receiving,Appointment of Director of the Department of Finance.
Previously, on October 4, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung signed Decision No. 3033/QD-UBND on accepting and appointing for a term of 5 years Mr. Trinh Thanh Hai - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Tax Department of Nghe An province to hold the position of Director of the Department of Finance.
Presenting the decision and flowers to the new Director of the Department of Finance, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee congratulated comrade Trinh Thanh Hai on being trusted, selected, and decided to be appointed to the position of Director of the Department of Finance by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.
As Director of the Department of Finance, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung hopes that comrade Trinh Thanh Hai will quickly approach the work, inherit the achievements of his predecessor, and carry out the tasks of the industry smoothly and effectively.

*The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial People's Council has issuedNotice of convening the 9th session(special session) took place on the afternoon of October 12 to carry out the contents under its authority.
At this session, the Provincial People's Council is expected to carry out personnel work within its authority, such as: dismissal, election of Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee and members of the Provincial People's Committee.
At the same time, the Provincial People's Council will review, discuss and approve the Reports and 8 Draft Resolutions submitted to the session.

In the spirit of democracy and frankness, voters of Giang Son Dong commune expressed many thoughts, wishes, recommendations and proposals to the concerned authorities for resolution. The issue that many voters reflected was related to the inadequacy of local socio-economic infrastructure.

*The Executive Committee of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has just announcedstop implementing investment policiesEcological resort and entertainment complex project in Nghi Tien commune, Nghi Loc district.
Previously, in 2017, FLC Group submitted a proposal to the People's Committee of Nghe An province for the project of ecological tourism and entertainment complex in Nghi Tien commune, Nghi Loc district with an area of 460 hectares.
At the end of 2017, the Provincial Party Committee issued Conclusion Notice No. 70-KL/TU dated December 11, 2017, agreeing with the Proposal of the Provincial People's Committee's Party Committee on the investment policy of this project of FLC Group. FLC Group officially submitted a request for approval of the investment policy under the name of FLC Nghe An Beach & Golf Resort Project, with a scale of 460 hectares, with a total investment of 16,009 billion VND.

*Nam Can Commune, Ky Son District, where National Highway 7 passes through, has been reopened to traffic after nearly 4 days of isolation. However,fear of landslides after floodsgreatly affecting the lives of local people. According to initial surveys, the entire Nam Can commune currently has 65 households affected by landslides due to floods.
Outside Ta Ca commune, heavy rain on the night of October 1 caused more than 5,000 cubic meters of soil and rock to slide down, burying almost the entire first floor of the 2-story boarding house of students at Nam Can Commune Ethnic Minority Boarding Secondary School.
The landslide affected 260 students of Thai, Mong, and Kho Mu ethnic groups in five villages of Nam Can commune, Ky Son district.

*On the afternoon of October 7, the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense received Notice No. 324/TB-KHPP dated October 7, 2022 from Khe Bo Hydropower Plant regardingreservoir discharge operationKhe Bo Hydropower Plant.
Total discharge from 510 m3/s to 1,100 m3/s (including generation through generators and through the spillway) may vary depending on the water flow to the lake.
Time to end water discharge through spillway until water flow to the lake drops below 487 m3/S.

*Also related to the flood situation in recent days, in Hung Nguyen districtMany serious landslides appearedHundreds of households are worried because rocks and soil can collapse at any time if it rains in the coming time.
During the recent flood, Hung Nguyen district was not only flooded on a large scale, but after the flood receded, many landslides appeared in the localities, affecting people's lives.
According to statistics of Hung Yen Nam commune, there are about 600 households living under these two peaks, stretching from hamlets 3, 4, 5, 6. Of these, 50 households are at high risk, their houses are only a few meters away from the peak, so they are forced to evacuate when there is heavy rain.
