Nghia Hoa: Unite the people to develop socio-economy

(Baonghean) - Nghia Hoa (Thai Hoa Town) is known as the cradle of Dong Son culture in the Ca River basin, with valuable archaeological sites such as: Dinh Hamlet, Con Kho, Dong Vong, Mo Van, especially Vac Village - National Archaeological Site. Nghia Hoa people are always proud of their local traditions, even more proud when that tradition is increasingly promoted, gradually improving people's lives.

Nghia Hoa currently has 6 hamlets, 544 households and 2,344 people, of which 102 are ethnic minority households, the people's lives are mainly agricultural. In 2008, after being separated to establish Long Son ward (10 hamlets) and Nghia Hoa commune, at that time Nghia Hoa was the poorest commune of Thai Hoa town, the total production value only reached 11,916,000,000 VND, the food output was only 581 tons. In the trend of development and integration, Nghia Hoa determined the focus for the development path is to innovate the agricultural economy, promote all potentials and advantages available in the locality, quickly improve the material and spiritual life of the people, maintain political security and social order and safety, enhance the leadership role of the Party organization, strive to bring the commune out of poverty.

Under the leadership and direction of the Party Committee, the solidarity and consensus of the leadership and the people, in recent years, promoting the potential and strengths of land, the locality has focused on transforming the agricultural production structure towards commodity production suitable for each type of land. Promoting household-based livestock farming, developing poultry, pigs, fish and developing agricultural and forestry crops. The authorities at all levels and the locality have also coordinated to strengthen an agricultural cooperative, providing on-site vocational training in the direction of learning while working.

In recent years, the commune has also created jobs for nearly 200 people, organized labor sending to work outside the locality, and always maintained labor export from 80 to 250 workers. Gradually reducing agricultural labor, increasing service labor. Thanks to that, the annual revenue from small-scale industry and services reached 8 billion VND, accounting for 40% of the economic proportion. In 2013, the total production value of the whole commune increased to 29,615,467,000 VND, budget revenue was 2,617,000,000 VND. Food output reached nearly 900 tons. Average income per capita was 12,700,000 VND/year.

In order to create conditions for people to have land for production, the commune government continued to allocate vacant areas to the people. With the contribution of the people and the support capital from the higher budget, in 2008, the commune built a house to display archaeological artifacts of Lang Vac, meeting the needs of preserving artifacts and serving the sightseeing needs of tourists from near and far. Upgrading rural roads, with nearly 80-90% of concrete roads, graded roads in hamlets and alleys (20km). In 2001, the commune built a memorial stele for heroic martyrs, the power system was upgraded and put into stable and safe operation.

In addition, implementing the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", in recent years, the rate of families achieving cultural families in Nghia Hoa has always been over 80%. 100% of hamlets have a communal house, the spiritual and cultural life of the people has been raised accordingly. To promote and arouse the people's strength, on October 16 every year, the commune launches and organizes for the people of hamlets to respond to the day when all people mobilize to do water transport, mainly building new canal systems.

By 2013, the commune had built 4.79 km of concrete canals, cleared and dredged thousands of cubic meters of mud and soil, built embankments and field embankments to serve travel, production and transportation of agricultural products. Rural roads in hamlets were marked and planned. By September 2013, the whole commune had built 9 km of concrete roads. Currently, the commune has achieved 8/19 criteria for building new rural areas.

Nghia Hoa determined that the most important thing in the process of building and developing the locality in the coming time is to build a united bloc, creating consensus from top to bottom, from inside to outside. Doing a good job of mobilizing the masses on the basis of implementing the grassroots democracy regulations. Promoting the internal strength of the people in investing in economic development, building cultural life, ensuring national defense and security. Developing resolutions, programs, and action plans suitable to local conditions.

At the same time, take advantage of the support and assistance of superiors in development orientation. Have good policies and mechanisms to attract investment and sponsorship from organizations inside and outside the province. To fully exploit external investment sources, the commune must first promote its internal strength and fight against the mentality of waiting and relying on others. Successfully implement the Resolution of the Party Executive Committee of the commune for the term 2010 - 2015, gradually complete the criteria for building new rural areas according to the plan, making Nghia Hoa commune a fairly good commune of Thai Hoa town in the near future.
