Care about people's lives in coastal areas

On behalf of the National Assembly delegates, Major General Nguyen Sy Hoi reported to voters the results of the 8th session of the 14th National Assembly.

Reflecting to the National Assembly delegates, voter Ho Dien Mai - Chairman of the Fatherland Front of Quynh Minh commune reflected: The sea dike project from Quynh Nghia to Quynh Bang, invested by the Provincial People's Committee in 2010, is still unfinished, the culvert has no dike surface, has not been concreted, causing landslides, making it difficult to travel, and saltwater overflowing into the fields, causing damage to people's crops; requesting the Provincial People's Committee to soon complete the project so that people can enjoy the benefits.

Voter Ho Huu Son, Quynh Nghia commune, petitioned that in May 2017, Pjico Insurance Company was introduced to the locality to sell insurance for fishing boat crew members and promised that when there is a policy from the State to support insurance, the company will be responsible for refunding the money.

And since July 2017, the State has had a policy to support fishing vessel and crew insurance according to Decree 67. However, since the policy took effect, fishermen have repeatedly requested the company to refund the 10-month crew insurance that the State supported, but the company has not yet implemented it.

Voters in Quynh Luu district suggested that the government pay attention to supporting communes with budget investment in building working offices; support policies for the elderly; allowances for specialized cadres at commune and ward levels; and pay attention to resolving policies for people with revolutionary contributions...

Efforts to reach the district's new rural standards

Talking to voters of Quynh Luu district, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh informed about the socio-economic results of the country and the province in 2019.

Regarding Quynh Luu district, the Provincial Party Secretary said that the progress of new rural construction is slow compared to other localities in the province. Up to now, 22/33 communes have achieved new rural commune status, while the district's target for the 2015-2020 term is to reach the new rural district status.

"The locality needs to clearly identify what advantages we have not yet exploited and what difficulties we are facing, in order to be determined to overcome them. We hope that the Party Committee and people of the district will strive to achieve the district meeting new rural standards" - the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized.

Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dac Vinh responded to voters' petitions within his authority. Regarding voters' petitions about Pjico Insurance Company's delay in refunding fishing boat crew insurance premiums to fishermen, the Provincial Party Secretary said that the Provincial People's Committee has sent a document to Pjico Insurance Company and the Ministry of Finance to request the company to fulfill its responsibilities and ensure the rights of fishermen.
