Attending the conference, on behalf of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, there were comrades: Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Minh Truong - Director of the Ho Chi Minh Institute and Party leaders; Associate Professor, Dr. Le Van Loi - Director of the Department of Science Management; Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Danh Tien - Director of the Institute of Party History. Also attending was Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hoang Cong - Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Political Theory.

On the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, along with representatives of relevant departments, branches and sectors, and relatives and family of comrade Nguyen Duy Trinh.

Speaking at the workshop, comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department emphasized that from a patriotic youth, experiencing fighting and training in the revolutionary movement, comrade Nguyen Duy Trinh became one of the first revolutionary soldiers of the Party, a loyal and close student of President Ho Chi Minh.

Comrade Nguyen Duy Trinh's dynamism in the arduous and sacrificial practice has earned him the trust of the Party and people in many important responsibilities, especially 20 years as a member of the Politburo, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.

In his opening speech at the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Danh Tien - Director of the Institute of Party History affirmed that during the years of resistance against the US, the international Communist and Workers' movements faced many difficulties. As Minister of Foreign Affairs, Comrade Nguyen Duy Trinh participated in many conferences of the Politburo, the Central Committee and the Government to develop and perfect the Party's foreign policies and guidelines, in accordance with the situation, in order to unite and gather international forces to have a correct understanding of Vietnam and Vietnam's national liberation revolution, thereby calling for help and support for Vietnam to fight the US.

Under the leadership of comrade Nguyen Duy Trinh, diplomacy became an important front, closely coordinating with the political and military fronts, both fighting and negotiating. Diplomatic activities were also coordinated smoothly between the North and South, and the art of negotiation in the diplomatic field of Vietnam, culminating in the signing of the Paris Agreement on ending the war and restoring peace in Vietnam in 1973.

After 1975, in response to the country's new requirements, Minister Nguyen Duy Trinh soon raised the diplomatic mission of serving economic restoration and development.

The workshop recorded dozens of presentations, reports, and contributions of rich and profound content about the life and career of comrade Nguyen Duy Trinh to the Vietnamese revolution and his homeland Nghe An. Thereby, honoring the great contributions of comrade; arousing and raising national pride, promoting historical - cultural traditions, patriotic traditions in the process of building and defending the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in the period of integration and development.
