Jumping off Mu Ba Bridge - close to "death"
(Baonghean.vn) - On extremely hot days of 38 - 39 degrees Celsius, many children in Do Luong (Nghe An) invite each other to go swimming in the river to cool off, which is very dangerous. Especially at Mu Ba bridge on Dao river - where there is a deep, fast-flowing stream, every afternoon children gather to jump off the bridge to swim in the river.
Mu Ba Bridge on Dao River is located in Dong Son Commune, Do Luong District. This is both a bridge and a culvert to discharge water from Lam River, supplying water to 4 districts: Do Luong, Yen Thanh, Dien Chau, Quynh Luu. The bridge is built very high with many concave and convex cement blocks above and especially below the water surface. The water here is often swirling, swirling and deep, so it is very dangerous for children to bathe here.
