Many special activities will be held in the program 'Solidarity Day'
(Baonghean.vn) - The program "Solidarity Day", the new decision of the People's Committee of Nghe An province on speaking and providing information to the press are the main contents discussed at the Press Conference in November 2023.
On the morning of November 7, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, and the Provincial Journalists Association jointly organized the November 2023 Press Conference. Attending the conference was comrade Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department.
The conference was chaired by comrades: Pham Ngoc Canh - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications.
At the conference, comrade Le Van Ngoc - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province informed about the program "Solidarity Day". Towards the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2023), the 20th anniversary of the organization of the National Great Unity Day (2003-2023), the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches, and localities inside and outside the province to organize the program "Solidarity Day".
The program is expected to be held from November 10-12, 2023 at Ho Chi Minh Square and Vinh City walking street. The program has 3 main activities: Displaying and introducing typical products of regions, unique cultural products of localities; displaying the photo theme "Great solidarity of ethnic groups - Nghe An cultural heritage"; Special cultural and artistic program "Solidarity Festival".
Also at the conference, evaluating the press work in October 2023, comrade Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications affirmed that basically, the press agencies have closely followed the principles, purposes and propaganda orientation of the province; relatively complete and timely information on political, economic, cultural and social activities in the province, meeting the information needs of readers and doing a good job of propaganda and orienting public opinion.
In the field of current affairs and politics, the visits and working activities in Nghe An by leaders of ministries, departments and branches; and the foreign and domestic activities of provincial leaders have been fully updated by press agencies. In addition, the contents of the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly have also been strongly publicized.
In the economic field, many articles have highlighted some positive results of the third quarter of 2023; proposed some solutions to achieve and exceed the targets set this year. Many articles affirmed the timeliness and effectiveness in the direction and administration of the provincial leaders; the efforts of all levels, sectors and localities in implementing the socio-economic plan.

At the conference, comrade Nguyen Ba Hao discussed some contents of Decision 29 of the Provincial People's Committee issued on November 6, 2023 on speaking and providing information to the press. The new point of this Decision is to add content on handling information on social networks, including specific regulations on handling information that reflects the truth; handling information that reflects falsely or has false content; handling information reflected on social networks according to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee or the request of the Department of Information and Communications.
At the conference, reporters discussed a number of issues such as the issuance and use of letters of introduction, the management of electronic information pages in the area, etc. In addition, some reporters also proposed that local electronic information portals need to update and publicize directive documents and mobile phone numbers for easy communication during work.
Regarding the propaganda orientation in November 2023, the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department requested that press agencies continue to pay attention to and strongly propagate the implementation of the contents of Resolution No. 39-NQ/TW, dated July 18, 2023 of the Politburo on building and developing Nghe An province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
In addition, press agencies need to strengthen propaganda on Party building and political system building in 2023; movements and models that effectively implement "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle"; and strengthen propaganda on "bright spots" to spread and promote achievements in socio-economic development in recent months.
In November 2023, there are many major events and holidays that need to be strongly promoted, such as: Russian October Revolution (November 7); Vietnam Law Day (November 9); 111th Birthday Anniversary of Comrade Nguyen Tiem (November 10, 1912 - November 10, 2023); Founding Day of the Vietnam National United Front and National Solidarity Day (November 18); 77th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Red Cross Society (November 23, 1946 - November 23, 2023); Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (November 18); Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20); Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Day (November 23).
