(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 18, due to the impact of storm No. 5, Vinh City experienced heavy rain, many roads were flooded and locally congested.
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the influence of the strengthening continental cold high pressure and the northern edge of the circulation of storm No. 5, it is forecasted that in the North Central region from September 18 to the morning of September 20, there will be moderate to heavy rain, with very heavy rain and thunderstorms in some places.

It is forecasted that in the next 12 hours, storm No. 5 will move westward, traveling about 25km per hour, making landfall in the provinces from Quang Binh to Quang Nam with the strongest wind speed of level 8-9 (60-90km/h), gusting to level 11, then weakening into a tropical depression. At 4:00 p.m. on September 18, the center of the tropical depression will be at about 16.6 degrees North latitude; 106.3 degrees East longitude, in the Central Laos area. The strongest wind near the center of the tropical depression will be level 6-7 (40-60km/h), gusting to level 9.
During the next 12 to 24 hours, the tropical depression will move westward at 20-25km per hour, then weaken into a low pressure area over Thailand.
