(Baonghean.vn) - A group of young people aged 18 - 26 in Quynh Lap commune (Hoang Mai town, Nghe An) established and participated in a gambling ring with a total amount of 1.3 billion VND.
The Investigation Police Agency of Hoang Mai Town has just issued a decision to prosecute the case and prosecute 6 young men residing in Quynh Lap commune, including: Le Anh Quan (born 1993), Le Hoi Hoan (born 1993), Pham Hong Son (born 2001), Truong Quang Anh (born 2001), Le Ba Quy (born 2001) and Pham Viet Bang (born 2000) for the crime of "Gambling".
In early August 2019, Hoang Mai City Police discovered a gambling ring in the form of lottery tickets that gathered young people with gambling interests in the area. A special project was established to combat it.

To hide from the police, this network operates very discreetly and sophisticatedly, all transactions are done by phone, on social networks. The amount of money won or lost is calculated based on the results of the Northern lottery. After the results are available, the leaders will choose a place to receive and deliver the money or mostly through a bank card.
Through verification, the Investigation Committee identified the ringleaders as Le Anh Quan (born 1993), residing in Quyet Tien hamlet, and Le Hoi Hoan (born 1993), residing in Hop Tien hamlet, both in Quynh Lap commune (Hoang Mai town).
Having no stable job and being addicted to gambling, the two subjects lured other young people in the area to join their gambling ring. From playing for fun with a few hundred thousand dong, the number gradually increased, on average each day the young people "burned" at least a few million dong on gambling.
After attracting quite a few customers, Quan set up more agents and agents to operate. After the subjects participated in gambling, the agents compiled the information and sent it to Quan.
On August 14, after a meeting to discuss and agree on a plan, the Task Force simultaneously deployed working groups to arrest the subjects. The Task Force arrested 6 subjects for gambling in the form of lottery tickets, including: Le Anh Quan (born in 1993) residing in Quyet Tien hamlet; Le Hoi Hoan (born in 1993) residing in Hop Tien hamlet; Pham Hong Son (born in 2001) residing in Tam Hop hamlet; Truong Quang Anh (born in 2001) residing in Dong Luc hamlet; Le Ba Quy (born in 2001) residing in Dong Luc hamlet and Pham Viet Bang (born in 2000) residing in Dong Luc hamlet, both in Quynh Lap commune (Hoang Mai town); 6 mobile phones were seized at the scene.
The subjects confessed that on average, they gambled tens of millions of dong each day, with the least amount being 15 million dong a day and the most amounting to 130 million dong a day.
Initially, the police agency has proven that the amount of money the subjects participated in gambling was more than 1.3 billion VND.
