Mr. Nguyen Cong Thuong, a son of his hometown, heroically sacrificed himself right on the river wharf of his hometown. Mr. Phan To Duc (105 years old, 80 years old in the party, in Vo Liet commune), who participated in the demonstration at Thanh Chuong district office that year, said: "On the morning of September 1, 1930, I woke up early, joined the crowd of people from the communes to Thanh Chuong district office. At that time, I was only 14, 15 years old, because I could read and write fluently in the national language, I was assigned to read the propaganda papers aloud". Currently, Mr. Phan To Duc is a "special" witness of the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement in Thanh Chuong. 90 years have passed, the evidence and witnesses of the 1930 - 1931 revolutionary high tide are still fully present here, further affirming the immortal vitality and pride of the revolutionary homeland that "stood up first".
