'Monster woman' with the secret to hiding drugs in her bra

Nghe An Provincial People's Court has just opened a first-instance criminal trial of defendant Tran Thi Hai (born 1971), residing in Tam Quang commune, Tuong Duong district, for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking".

In 2002, Tran Thi Hai was sentenced to 14 years in prison for “Illegal drug trafficking” and “Organizing illegal drug use”. However, this woman continued to dream of getting rich from the substance that brought “white death” to many people.

On April 10, 2021, at Vinh market area, Hai met a man named Truong (unknown background, address). This man ordered 14 grams of heroine, Hai agreed, promising to inform him later when he had it.

Two days later, Hai took the bus to Quy Hop town to buy drugs. Through a motorbike taxi driver, Hai bought 14 taels of heroin for 52 million VND.

The drugs were brought by Hai to hide at a motel on Pham Dinh Toai Street, Vinh City. At 6 p.m. the same day, a man named Truong called Hai to get 5 taels in advance, for 17 million VND.

After that, Hai took 5 packages of drugs in his hand and took a small amount of drugs from the purchased drugs, put them in a soft paper package and hid them in the bra he was wearing for the customer to try, then drove his motorbike to Nguyen Canh Chan street, Hong Son ward, Vinh city.

While Hai was waiting for a customer to deliver drugs, he discovered a police team on duty and dropped the drugs on the ground. The team asked Hai to pick up 5 packages of drugs. After that, Hai voluntarily took out 1 package of drugs from his bra and handed it over to the police.

Searching Hai's residence, the police discovered 9 more packages of drugs. Thus, the total amount of drugs for which Tran Thi Hai must bear criminal responsibility is 52.265 grams.

At the trial, the defendant cried and confessed that because of poverty and illness, he sold drugs.

The panel of judges determined that the defendant's actions violated the law and sentenced him to 16 years in prison for "Illegal drug trafficking".
