On January 13, 2022, through patrol work, Quynh Phuong Ward Police, Hoang Mai Town, discovered and caught red-handed NVT (born 2007), residing in Tan Phong block, Quynh Phuong ward, usinghomemade cannons. Seized 106 homemade firecrackers, 0.2 kg of precursors for making firecrackers.
Expanding the investigation, it was discovered that NBV (born 2007) and L.D.M (born 2008), both residing in Tan Tien block, Quynh Phuong ward, were manufacturing fireworks. They seized 4 homemade fireworks, 1.52 kg of fireworks precursors, and 3 kg of paper fireworks shells.

Through investigation, the students said they learned about it on social media through YouTube and TikTok apps, then bought precursors on e-commerce sites to make fireworks.
Authorities recommend that parents should closely monitor their children, because near the Lunar New Year, the situation of buying, selling, storing and manufacturing fireworks is quite complicated. If there are no educational and deterrent measures, the consequences will be unpredictable./.
