Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee attended the National Great Unity Day in Quynh Luu district

On the afternoon of November 12, Comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited Village 3, Quynh Doi Commune, Quynh Luu District to celebrate the "National Great Unity Day" with local people on the occasion of the 91st Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2021). Also attending were representatives of the leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An Province; leaders of Quynh Luu District.

Village 3 is one of the villages with a history of more than 640 years, a land of talented people converging many national and provincial historical relics.

The village has 237 households with more than 700 people, with the main occupations from the past until now being silk weaving, teaching, agricultural production, and services.

The lives of everyone and every family are increasingly prosperous and happy; many cultural, artistic, and sports clubs have been and are operating effectively.

In 2021, the average income in the village is estimated to reach 63-64 million VND/person/year, an increase of 2% compared to 2020, the rate of cultural families reached over 98%, the number of well-off and rich households increased and there was only 1 near-poor household left.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Nguyet - Secretary of Party Cell 3, Quynh Doi Commune presented a speech reviewing the history of the Fatherland Front and evaluating the results of activities and patriotic emulation movements in the area.

In 2020, 100% of organizations and unions completed their tasks excellently. The Party Cell achieved the title of Exemplary Strong and Clean Party Cell.

The village has organized the construction of a lighting system with a total cost of nearly 130 million VND; mobilized children and people from all walks of life to support elderly care with more than 12 million VND; and supported the Education Promotion Fund with nearly 5 million VND.

In particular, during the recent campaign to support the Covid-19 Prevention Fund, the Village Front Committee organized propaganda and mobilized people, families, and self-governing groups to donate money, food, necessities, and meals to the frontline forces against the epidemic, people in quarantine, and give gifts to people in quarantine at home facing difficulties, and children of Quynh Doi in Ho Chi Minh City.

The village also visited and gave necessities to 12 people in the village who were facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic, each worth 200,000 VND. The total value of the campaigns was more than 100 million VND.

Speaking at the "National Great Unity Festival" in Village 3, Quynh Doi Commune, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong shared his joy at being able to return to celebrate the festival with the people of Quynh Doi in general and Village 3 in particular, one of the most traditional lands of the country.

Talking to local people, Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong expressed his excitement at the achievements in new rural construction and cultural life that the residential area of ​​Hamlet 3 has achieved. He said that this is the result of today's efforts and also the inevitable result in the journey of hundreds of years of construction and development of Quynh Doi.

Through his practical experience as well as his thoughts at the festival, comrade Nguyen Van Thong highly appreciated the awareness and sensitivity of local people in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic.

To maintain the achievements in epidemic prevention and control in the current context, everyone needs to continue to raise awareness, make medical declarations for people returning to the locality from other places, and local people returning from other places; at the same time, promote the monitoring role of the community Covid Team, the monitoring of the grassroots; improve the tracing capacity. "We protect ourselves to protect the community, to protect ourselves to protect our loved ones", the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee shared.

Along with that, to continue promoting the tradition and achievements, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong requested the cadres and people of Village 3, Quynh Doi Commune to continue to have many specific solutions to effectively implement the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas"; especially always consider the issue of solidarity between hamlets and communities as the foundation, strength, and solution to overcome difficulties; join hands to seriously implement measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic so that the residential area will always be a "green area".

Along with that, continue to promote the tradition of drinking water and remembering the source, eating fruit and remembering the person who planted the tree, the spirit of mutual love and mutual assistance so that the number of well-off and rich households will increase; at the same time, promote democracy, maintain discipline, everyone lives and works according to the Constitution and the law; determined not to violate the law in the community, considering social evils as "strange" words to the people.

Continue with plans, determination, efforts, and join hands to fulfill the set goals and tasks; promote cultural life and economic achievements in the coming time to build the earliest model in the country of a typical new rural commune that demonstrates all fields.
