Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu visited and congratulated medical units of Yen Thanh district on Vietnamese Doctors' Day.
(Baonghean.vn) - The delegation of Nghe An province led by comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu visited and congratulated the following units: Yen Thanh District General Hospital, Yen Thanh District Medical Center and Van Thanh Commune Medical Station.
On the occasion of the 69th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2024), the delegation of Nghe An province led by comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited and congratulated a number of medical units in Yen Thanh district.
The delegation included leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Department of Health and the District Party Committee and People's Committee of Yen Thanh district.
On this occasion, the delegation visited and congratulated the following units: Yen Thanh District General Hospital, Yen Thanh District Medical Center and Van Thanh Commune Medical Station.
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Hoang Nghia Hieu and the delegation visited, learned about and grasped the situation of the implementation of the task of caring for and protecting people's health of medical units; and visited patients being treated here.
Accordingly, in recent times, the health sector of Yen Thanh district has been making important strides. The health system from the district general hospital, health center to 39 commune and town health stations continues to be consolidated and developed, facilities and medical equipment are increasingly invested in, spacious and gradually modernized. The team of cadres, doctors and nurses is increasing in both quantity and quality, meeting the requirements for health care and protection of the people.
Currently, Yen Thanh District General Hospital is recognized as a grade 2 district-level general hospital; group 2 autonomy reaches 106%; performs the task of examining and treating over 320,000 people in the district and neighboring areas; the average inpatient volume is 390 patients/day.
In 2023, the Hospital implemented 62 new techniques, including 1 central technique and 48 provincial techniques; the referral rate decreased to 5.9%. The Hospital has drastically implemented digital transformation activities such as: Health insurance examination and treatment via Citizen Identification Card, applying cashless payment for medical examination and treatment costs; paying attention to and investing in purchasing more modern equipment; investing in building facilities.
At Yen Thanh District Medical Center, the delegation heard about the outstanding results of the Center such as: doing well in disease prevention, health care for the elderly, reproductive health for women, adolescents, and malnourished children; ensuring food safety and hygiene; implementing well the propaganda work of family planning...
At Van Thanh Commune Health Station, despite operating in difficult conditions, the team of doctors, nurses and staff of the Commune Health Station has performed well in first aid and emergency care; managed over 90% of people with disabilities in the community; managed and treated chronic non-communicable diseases such as hypertension and diabetes.
On behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu acknowledged and commended the achievements that the team of doctors, cadres, nurses, and medical staff of Yen Thanh district have achieved in caring for and protecting people's health in recent years.
Comrade Hoang Nghia Hieu emphasized: The medical profession is a noble profession. The 69th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day is an opportunity for each doctor to reflect on himself to live and contribute worthy of the nobility of the profession, and at the same time to understand more deeply Uncle Ho's teachings for the Vietnamese medical sector: "A good doctor is like a mother, a doctor is like a kind mother".
The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested that cadres, doctors, nurses and staff of the Yen Thanh district health sector continue to promote the glorious tradition of the sector; Continue to promote "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" in conjunction with implementing the 12 medical ethics with specific and practical actions, worthy of the trust and honor of society.
Every cadre, doctor, medical staff must constantly study, cultivate, improve skills, professional qualifications, improve medical ethics, have compassion, dedication, wholeheartedly care for patients, join hands for community health.
Medical units are constantly strengthening and consolidating their facilities, effectively using medical equipment, machinery and supplies, and supplementingModern equipment, improving service quality, meeting the increasing and diverse needs of the people; combining modern medicine with traditional medicine in medical examination and treatment.
Ensure sufficient human resources in terms of quantity and quality; have regulations to attract medical staff with good professional qualifications; do well in emulation work; pay attention to improving the life, spirit and material of staff in the unit; build a green - clean - beautiful unit.
Implement well the professional regulations, codes of conduct of the health sector, professionalization of health workers; strengthen state management in the health sector; improve the quality of disease prevention work.
Closely coordinate with departments, branches and localities to speed up the progress of the universal health insurance plan; improve the quality of medical services; promote administrative procedure reform to avoid inconvenience for patients; digital transformation in management, in the organization of reception and medical examination and treatment.
Provincial departments, branches, District Party Committee, People's Committee of Yen Thanh district need to continue to pay attention to and invest in completing infrastructure, equipment and machinery to ensure synchronization and modernity; arrange and strengthen training and human resource development for medical units, helping units to perform well the task of preventing and fighting diseases; meet the needs of medical examination and treatment for people in the area.
