On February 9,Hong Son Ward, Vinh Cityhas deployed the establishment of mobile Covid-19 vaccination points in the blocks to vaccinate people.

Mr. Tu Trong Hai - Chairman of Hong Son Ward People's Committee said: The ward has set up 4 mobile points to vaccinate 7 blocks, sent the ward's medical force and contracted additional medical staff, and assigned forces to ensure order at each vaccination point. As a result, on the first day, people voluntarily went to get vaccinated in large numbers, meeting the requirement of covering enough doses of Covid-19 vaccine. On February 9 alone, the ward vaccinated about 500 people, mainly the 3rd dose, the rest were people who had their own reasons for not getting the 1st and 2nd doses, the vaccination coverage rate of the ward has reached 98 - 99%...

The establishment of mobile vaccination points in the block has initially shown clear results. If in the past, people in the ward had to gather at schools and offices to get vaccinated, the medical team coming to the block to get vaccinated has helped people save time and travel distance, thus raising people's awareness of getting vaccinated. There are elderly people who have special reasons and cannot go to the vaccination points as before, but now the vaccination location is near where they live, so they also take the opportunity to get vaccinated...

At the same time, dividing mobile vaccination points into smaller ones also limits crowds and reduces the risk of disease transmission.

It is known that at the time inLunar New Year, mobilizing people to voluntarily get vaccinated is difficult because people are focused on Tet, and are afraid that getting vaccinated will make them tired and unable to enjoy Tet, so a part of the people are "not in a hurry to get vaccinated" with the third dose. Meanwhile, if the third dose is not implemented soon, it will affect the community's immunity, as well as the quality of the vaccine if it is left behind.

Ms. Tran Thi Cam Tu - Vice Chairman of Vinh City People's Committee said: Currently, Vinh City is promoting the implementation of the 47th vaccination round with a total of nearly 40,000 doses of vaccine, mainly the 3rd injection for people with the motto "going to every alley, knocking on every door, checking every subject". It is expected that this vaccination round will be completed by the end of February 10. The implementation of mobile vaccination in Hong Son ward is a new method, has brought about effectiveness and depending on the conditions of each ward and commune, it will be expanded in the coming time.

"However, mobile vaccination will require a large number of medical staff and will be suitable for wards and communes with small areas, few blocks, and few people.
