The National Assembly questioned four ministers and discussed amending the confidence-taking regulations this week.

Questioning and answering activities always receive the attention of voters and people. This important monitoring activity at the 5th Session took place from the morning of June 6 to the morning of June 8 and was broadcast live on radio and television.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai and four Ministers of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung; Minister and Chairman of the Ethnic Committee Hau A Lenh, Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat and Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Thang were selected to answer questions before the National Assembly.

Other Government members also joined in "sharing the fire" on related issues raised by National Assembly delegates.

Also related to the supervision content, after the end of the question and answer session, the National Assembly will vote to pass the Resolution on the National Assembly's Supervision Program in 2024.

The National Assembly decided to select two topics for supreme supervision, the remaining two topics will be assigned to the Standing Committee of the National Assembly to organize supervision. Specifically, topic 1 is the implementation of fiscal and monetary policies to support the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program and a number of important national projects; topic 2 is related to the implementation of policies and laws on public service units; topic 3 is about ensuring traffic order and safety; and topic 4 is the implementation of policies and laws on real estate market management and social housing development.

During this working week, the National Assembly continued to discuss many draft laws, such as the Law on Credit Institutions (amended), the Law on Housing (amended), the Law on Water Resources (amended); the Law on Management and Protection of National Defense Works and Military Zones; the Law on Citizen Identification (amended); and the Law on Telecommunications (amended).

In particular, the National Assembly will report on the explanation, acceptance and revision of the draft Law on Land (amended); the results of public consultation on the draft Law on Land (amended). This is the most important law project of the term, expected to be considered and approved according to the 3-session process (first comments at the 4th Session, second comments at the 5th Session and approval at the 6th Session).

In addition, National Assembly deputies will discuss in the hall the draft Resolution of the National Assembly on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Ho Chi Minh City and the draft Resolution on taking a vote of confidence and voting for those holding positions elected or approved by the National Assembly or People's Council (amended).
