(Baonghean.vn) - Facing the risk of Khe Chuoi dam breaking in Binh 2 village, Chau Binh commune (Quy Chau), local authorities had to mobilize people and means to reinforce it during the night.
Prolonged heavy rain due to storm No. 4 caused many areas inQuy Chau districtLocally flooded. At 6:00 p.m. on October 1, 2022, the Khe Chuoi dam section passing through Quynh 2 village, Chau Binh commune, Quy Chau continued to rise.

Faced with that situation, the Quy Chau Irrigation Branch, together with the authorities and people of Quynh 2 village, reinforced the Khe Chuoi dam when the lake was at risk of overflowing. Although it was still raining and difficult to travel at night, hundreds of people, along with the local authorities, gathered to carry tarpaulins, piles, excavators, etc. to reinforce the dam. After more than 5 hours of rain until 11 p.m. the same night, the Khe Chuoi dam was reinforced, basically ensuring safety for people inside the dam.

Khe Chuoi Dam has an area of 3.2km2, 69.3m long, protects 250 households in Quynh 2 village./.
